I have a new large wood table and got tired of putting trivets on it to set hot plates down. This runner is EXCELLENT. I bought the 50 inch length and was concerned that placemats for people on the ends would lump over the edge of the runner. What nobody has mentioned is that you can fold under a few slates of the runner at the ends to have place mats at the longer ends. 100% this is worth every penny. Beautiful and USEFUL. So very pleased I may buy another one as I can fit 10 people at my table with table leaves in place. 5 thumbs up!!!
