This was an interesting buy. I bought it to make my own dish washing soap and it's turned out okay. The citric acid package arrived just fine, no tears or leaks. As far as I know it's what it was supposed to be and did what it was designed to do. I'm no chemist, so that's about all the information I can offer.

This product is simply amazing for cleaning a toilet tank. I saw a video on YouTube to turn off the water to the toilet, empty the tank fully, pour 1 cup of Citric Acid into the tank and fill with HOT tap water from a bucket. Stir and let sit for 30 minutes. The results are incredible. Works better than bleach, Vinegar, Hydrogen Peroxide and it won't deteriorate the rubber seals. I did this in Oct '25 and my tank has stayed clean through April '26 and I hardly ever have to scrub the toilet anymore. It so wonderful!

A few years back a friend gifted me a jar of Prickly Pear Jam. I loved it so much I asked her to teach me how to make it. She added citric acid at the end of the cooking process. It made the jam taste so much better and the red color was vibrant. This is a perfect size for those of us who don’t make volumes of jam.

I use this product for a different reason than most of the reviews so I wanted to write one in case anyone comes here for the same reason! I live in an area with very hard water and it wreaks havoc on my hair. It gets dry and dull and very tangly. I have used this product in the past to deal with this: Malibu C Hard Water Weekly Demineralizer 12-pk. It removes mineral build up from the hair and it really does work! However, it's insanely expensive. The cheapest you can get it is around $2 per single use packet, and that's here on Amazon at a deep discount. So, I did some research and figured out that the ingredients in the product that are doing the work are citric acid and disodium EDTA, which are both mineral chelating agents, meaning that they bind to the minerals on your hair and remove them. Citric acid was more familiar to me and seemed easier to obtain so I bought this product. And it totally works! Every time I shower I put about a teaspoon of citric acid into a big jar with about half a gallon of water or more. After conditioning and doing everything else, I carefully pour the jar of water over all of my hair (it's pretty long). I DON'T rinse my hair again with my shower water after, because it seems counterproductive to get the mineral-y water on there again, but you could easily experiment with that. I DO rinse off the rest of my body. Be careful not to get the citric acid solution in your eyes! It's somewhat dilute but it will still burn and there's an eye warning on this product. However, if you do get it in your eyes (I did once) just rinse them out for about five minutes in the sink and you should be fine (I'm not an ophthalmologist). My hair has gone back to being soft and smooth! It's much easier to brush and it's actually visibly shinier. I recommend this method to anyone dealing with hard water! This citric acid is soo much cheaper than any product made for hair would be and works the same. It will last forever and I'm very glad that the bag is resealable.

This is excellent stuff for cleaning toilet tanks! It is unbelievable the results you get. I can’t quit bragging about the product. So far I have used it in three separate toilet tanks and all look like brand new! I as kid used it in my front loading washer. The product didn’t disappoint Thank you!

I used the Milliard Citric Acid to take mineral deposits off of bathroom taps. I had tried vinegar & other products, to no avail. Don't waste your hard earned money on anything else, this stuff works! I mixed 1/2 cup of citric acid to 1 cup of water, put it in a spray bottle & voila! I sprayed it on the taps, some areas required the use of a small stiff brush to rub the product in. I rinsed the taps off & they look like brand new! I'll never be without this stuff. I would think it would work on shower doors etc, any place where you have a mineral build up. I bought the product for this mineral build up use but I understand citric acid has many other uses. I'll certainly purchase Milliard Citric Acid again!

Was good for bath bombs

I buy the citric acid as a cleaner for my home. It is natural, I use it sometimes in my washer machine to clean the cylinder. I find this particular brand quite good and have bought it a few times.

I have only ever used this one type of citric acid in my bath bombs, and it works so well I wouldn't change. One bag makes a huge amount of bath bombs and this is GMO and clean, so I can tell my customers that I only use quality products in my bombs. Delivery expectation right on time and packed well. I also love the convenient zip lock bag. Would recommend and will order again.
