So far sooo soo good. I’m using this system for aquaponics- growing with fish and so far it’s working beautifully! Also, I didn’t know that it comes with substrate pods, which is beautiful. I’m gonna try them out, but I might switch to clay leca or just do bare roots but so nice to include substrate (looks like coco coir bur doesn’t say exactly) that fit the little pod inserts perfectly. The flow is not too strong, which is perfect because I don’t want to disturb disturbing waterfall back into the aquarium. I was worried when I saw other reviews saying that the pump wasn’t very strong. You can attach solar powered pumps to it though, I might try that.

It could be a 5 star perfect product if they just moved the drain/connection to the bottom of the tube to allow complete drainage. I knew of this issue and bought 1/8" line and nipples ran my own drains into the lower tube then into the bucket. Works flawlessly now.

Bought 2 of these to install in a 4x4 grow tent with a 500w bar style led grow light. I hung them in the tent and ziptied them at the bottom to form a V and expose each rail to the light. Before assembly I added black shrinkwrap to exclude light and prevent algae growth. I also added the red plugs to block unused sites. Making the system perfectly level is key to uniform growth. Otherwise water levels would not be uniform from end to end resulting in dried out plugs. I started seeds in peat pellets not the silly sponges included. Plugged these into the rails 2 weeks before these pictures. I have Japanese Chijimisai and Spinach sprouting too. Very happy overall. The price was actually pretty cheap for what you get. Not exactly plug and play but perfect for a tinkerer like me. Highly recommend. 7 months later, this system provides 5 heads of lettuce a week with room to spare. I am now experimenting with strawberry plants as well. If I built this myself, I would use 6 inch tubes, not 4. They roots tend to fill the tube and while it hasn't interfered with water recirculation, it's hard to dislodge and extract the root mass cleanly, you can do it, it's just fiddly. I haven't bought lettuce since I fired this up in January.

The product is good. However, before you put it together...make sure you plan ahead and know WHERE you are going to hang the system and HOW you are going to hang it. Since I am in an RV and will be traveling down the road, I decided to check out a YouTube video to learn how to secure the pipes to each other. There were no directions for this in the package NOR did any YouTube videos I watched mention this. So, I decided to prime AND glue each joint to prevent leakage. I bought Oatey Handy Pack 8-fl oz Purple and Clear PVC Cement and Primer which says it is safe for drinking (potable) water which is great because I will be growing lettuce, spinach, and kale hydroponically. ALSO, I figured out a way to hang the system in front of the bathroom window by attaching them to the top of the valance with 0.67" wide Perforated Hanger Straps.
