This product works wellโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆ. IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TOOLS
I found this product works extremely well, โฆโฆโฆ.โฆโฆโฆโฆโฆโฆ.IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TOOLS! Growing up, my dad, and perhaps your dad, often said with fatherly wisdom, โAny job is easier and goes faster if you have the right tools.โ How true! Grout-eez sells a brush you can attach to a handle for scrubbing the grout standing up. This well-intentioned product (and other similar long handled grout brushes) will work for some but not everyone, thus the negative reviews. You have to get close to the floor to get the grout really clean. How can you get all of the necessary elbow grease into the grout lines when your elbows and arms are three to four feet above the floor? I think more than half the battle getting clean grout is using the right scrubbing tools and โgetting down where the action is.โ I firmly believe, after experimenting, clean grout is more dependent on a thorough and quality scrubbing and less so on the cleaner you use (more on that later). Forget scrubbing by hand standing up with a long handle brush. It will be a lesson in futility for some people, especially for those whose grout is more than moderately dirty. Cleaning grout is among the least favorite household chores. I will try to make it easier for you. You will need only three things: a STURDY footstool, a cordless drill (what homeowner doesnโt have one of these?) and the small 2โ diameter Drill Brush sold here on Amazon. Drill Brush has many kits listed which are color coded by the firmness of the bristles: white (soft), yellow, green and blue (medium), red (stiff) and black (ultra-stiff). The yellow, green and blue brush kits have the same exact MEDIUM stiff bristles which work just fine for cleaning grout and they havenโt harmed my grout or tiles. They are color coded only to avoid cross contamination by application, i.e., if you desire use certain colors for specific cleaning jobs. Chuck the yellow, green or blue SMALL 2โ diameter drill brush in your cordless drill. Sit down on your footstool and go to work after the cleaner has sat for five to 10 minutes. Use both medium and firm pressure with the cordless drill going back and forth at least 10 times, sometimes more may be necessary depending how dirty the grout is. With use and viewing your results, you will ultimately determine how much scrubbing is necessary. This will show good if not great results after washing up with a mop and drying. This Yellow Drill Brush Kit has the recently introduced Edge Brush pictured on the right in the link. Most of their other kits donโt have this Edge Brush. There are many other Drill Brush kits available on Amazon to suit your needs. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083X5ZZWN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Donโt need an entire kit? Then just get this grouping of 2โ diameter Drill Brushes: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HQQP9BQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 NOTE: If you have a lot of grout to clean as I do and am doing, you will likely need two or three 2โ diameter Drill Brushes as the bristles do wear down (but not quickly) as I found out. After all, the bristles are doing all the hard work while you sit on your keister. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Donโt have a cordless drill but do have a reciprocating saw? If yes, you can purchase a Reciprotools stiff bristle nylon brush for the saw along with the adapter. Brush: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002R7N16O/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Adapter: https://www.amazon.com/Reciprotools-RCT-A10-Reciprocating-Saw-Adapter/dp/B001CNHDR2/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=Reciprotools+Reciprocating+Saw+Tool+Adapter&qid=1594928387&s=hi&sr=1-2 Iโve used both tools with great success. The drawback with the reciprocating saw is that it is noisy, and if you ever used one you know there is a lot of vibration, especially with the cheaper makes, like the $25 Hyper Tough I bought at the โBig W.โ As such, I used it only on grout lines that needed a second cleaning which were few to date. With its trigger which controls the speed, I tried to keep it at 1/3 to ยฝ power. The saw will not work well in confined areas, and try not to get too close to the baseboards or cabinets. If you go this route, it is important that you keep ALL the bristles in the grout line which will result in the saw being close to parallel to the floor but certainly not overly awkward. Hold it by its neck and handle. Note that there are smaller, compact reciprocating saws that will likely work better than the larger models. As Iโve already noted, I attest that a good, thorough, diligent scrubbing of grout is far more important than the cleaner you use. I have used Krud Kutter Tough Task with equal success. One of its many uses is for grout as noted on the bottle under the โSAFE, FAST, EFFECTIVEโฆ.โ heading on the label. Some reviewers among the 1,400+ reviews have found other products that work great and are less pricey. One reviewer noted he used Laโs Totally Awesome Cleaner and said it did a super job. But whatever cleaner you use on your grout always test the product in an inconspicuous area to ensure it is safe on your tile and grout. I would also suggest that if you purchase any cleaner in a spray bottle transfer the contents to an empty dish detergent bottle. Most if not all dish detergent bottles have a small opening in the cap. Just drag the bottleโs open cap in the grout lines while dispensing the cleaner. Lastly, make scrubbing and cleaning grout easier โ uses a power tool and less elbow grease!

Hands down best grout cleaner and exceptional customer support
Grout-eez is hands down the best grout cleaner you'll find, requires the least amount of work, and is backed by amazing, quick support. There's no paste to clean up, filmy or powdery residue, or much labor involved. Feel free to read about my experience, or skip to the end for my suggestions. We have light tan grout that was mildly dirty (mostly just splotchy in spots), but it hadn't been properly cleaned in years. I spent a week cleaning our grout; I began with all the DIY methods like vinegar, peroxide, OxiClean, etc. then moved on to grout-specific chemicals like Zep, CLR, and others. Nothing was making a difference, but fortunately most cleaners have guarantees so you can return them for a full refund. Finally, I bit the bullet and got Grout-eez (I say that only because it's "expensive" compared to most cleaners). Fantastic results! Save yourself the time and trouble and just get it. Immediately upon squirting it onto the grout it fizzed and started pulling out dirt. After letting it dwell for 10 minutes, I scrubbed and it appeared as dirty soapy water. At first, I was disappointed after it dried because the stains only seemed to have moved. The rinse water was filthy so it was definitely cleaning better than anything I had tried, but the grout didn't appear cleaner. I tried it again and got similar results, so I contacted The Floor Guys. Shari herself responded and worked with me to get the best results. After one more Grout-eez attempt and three days of drying (to ensure the grout was fully dry), the grout was better but still not clean. She could have easily just offered me a refund, blamed it on something, or claimed it was cleaned to satisfaction, but she knew their product worked better than that, so she sent me Stone-eez as a pre-cleaner. It arrived promptly so I resumed cleaning. I made a 1:8 solution (unlike Grout-eez, it's concentrated and needs to be mixed with water), applied it to the grout, let it dwell, rinsed, cleaned with Grout-eez, and rinsed again. When it dried the grout was clean! I recommend contacting The Floor Guys if you are unsatisfied in any way. They will work with you, willing to go so far as to contact their chemists to determine a solution. Most grout should clean easy, and in fact most of mine did. My tests spots just happened to be tough spots with heavy grease that wasn't typical and needed the more potent Stone-eez. From the images you can see the before, after Stone-eez, and after Grout-eez results of one of my tough spots; again, Stone-eez is not necessary and most of my grout cleaned up without it. I offer the following suggestions based on my experience: * Follow the instructions: squirt, dwell, agitate, rinse. You don't need to scrub it in beforehand or scrub much; just agitate. * Dwell time is effectively "wet time". Let the Grout-eez dwell while the grout appears wet and shiny, then rinse before it soaks into the grout. If an area dries fast, squirt additional Grout-eez to keep it wet for the 5-10 minutes. * When rinsing, a sponge mop is best, a sponge is great, and a towel is okay. The idea is to soak up the dirty liquid, not push it back into the grout. * Some grout can be be very porous and remain wet (dark) for up to three days. Allow ample dry time before deciding which areas need more attention. * If some areas don't get clean after two applications of Grout-eez, consider purchasing Stone-eez as a pre-cleaner. Grout-eez is great for everyday dirt and grease, but some muck requires the stronger alkaline cleaner.

It is ok, I expected better because of the photos that were shared. My grout wasn't real dirty so it did not show a drastic difference.

Not as good as I had hoped
I was very excited to get this product. I must say that I am sorely disappointed with its performance. I cleaned this area three different times and it didnโt come clean. I waited 10 minutes on the first one after I applied the product, waited another 10 minutes after I applied it again, and on the last one I waited 15 minutes. I had cleaned a huge area in my kitchen previously and I used gel toilet bowl cleaner, and it worked better than this product. It does make the room smell really good. This is my bathroom.

This really works well. I tried two different do it yourself โrecipesโ for floor grout cleaners that did not work and I ended up with a sore back. Gave up and thought I was going to have to save my money to hire a professional service. I live in AZ in a home that has large tile throughout the first floor of the house. A big job. Then I found this product and the long handled grout brush. While I have not moved any furniture I have successfully cleaned the entire area. I did it a section at a time. I canโt be more pleased with the ease of use and the results!

This doesn't live up to it's claims or my expectations in my experience. Very disappointing.
We have white ceramic tile and grout in our bathroom. It has been a decade since we gave it a deep cleaning and it was extremely dirty. I chose this cleaner based upon its star rating and comparison of other products available. I applied the cleaner exactly as the directions state. When I completed my first section (test spot) and let the grout dry after rinsing with water I was extremely disappointed in the results. I had to clean the same section THREE TIMES over to get an acceptable result. I was not expecting grout like new but know I should be able to achieve a lighter shade of off white. When I let it pre-soak for 10 minutes and went to agitate it with a brush, the product was already dry and amounted to just a sticky film. Additionally, the squeeze bottle nozzle dispensed in an uncontrollable manner flooding the tile more that you wanted to or not at all....wasting product. I had to apply more product and not let it sit as long just to be able to agitate the material. The results on the first two of three passes were marginal at best. I tried a 2 other products and then finally tried LA's Totally Awesome cleaner and degreaser. This product worked excellent. I pre soaked for 6 mins., agitated the grout and tile and then rinsed with clean water. The liquid remained wet which gave me more working time before drying. It took me ONE pass to achieve the results I was hoping for and overall was easier to scrub the material. I paid $20 for the Grout-Eez which is three times more for than I paid for the same amount of LA's Totally Awesome cleaner at $7/bottle. Any cleaner I tried worked satisfactorily to clean the tile itself as it is smooth and without texture. This is only the second negative review of a product for me but I felt as though the results this product claims to provide are misrepresented. I'll be throwing away $19 dollars worth of the product I have left. As you would expect, I would not reccomend this product to anyone.

Where have you been all my life?
We moved into a house with all tile. I love tile but the grout was dirty and I was NOT looking forward to cleaning it. Saw this company and their ad was so funny I thought I would take a chance. They sell a brush that is contoured to get into the grout and a stick to put it on so you arenโt on your hands and knees. (Highly recommend getting these) This stuff is awesome. The before and after speaks for itself.

Best grout cleaner by far!
I bought my house back in January 2020. The grout on the kitchen floor has been the BAIN of my existence since day one. I knew from moving appliances that the grout WAS a light grayish cream, but I couldnโt seem to restore it. I tried regular floor cleaner, leave on sprays, harsh chemicals that required a lot of elbow grease, and straight up bleach (which I do not recommend what so ever). I tried EVERYTHING to clean this grout. I was about to resort to a grout pen, but I didnโt want to just cover the dirt and grim. I wanted to clean it! When I came across this product, I was skeptical. The reviews looked promising, but I thought my grout was beyond help. Again, Iโd used so many products and none of them did the job. But I had literally nothing to loose except money Iโd probably spend on something less useful. I donโt know why I thought it would be a thicker formula, but it has the consistency of water. Not a bad thing, but an observation. The way the bottle dispenses the product isnโt idea, but thatโs just me being picky. After letting it sit for 10 minutes, I went in with a scrub brush and gasped! After only 10 minutes and a slight amount of elbow grease, this product successfully did what Iโve been trying to do for over two years. My grout wasnโt dark brown anymore. As you can see in my pictures, there is a noticeable change in color where Iโd used the product. I also want to mention all of my friends said the pictures did zero justice, and all of them asked me for the product information after seeing the results in person. Tips: - Iโve deep cleaned my grout twice since getting this product. While a toothbrush or scrub brush will get the job done, I recommend getting a scrub brush attachment for a cordless drill. Literally made the job so much easier. - This product leaves a greasy residue on the floor, so be prepared with an degreaser. I recommend Goo Gone Kitchen Degreaser. After scrubbing the grout and before wiping up the grout cleaner, squirt the Goo Gone on the floor and mop it all up together. - Lastly, if you have a wet vacuum (I have a Hoover carpet cleaning vacuum), it will save you so much time. I took hot, soapy water and sprayed it all over the floor. Then I just wet vacuumed up the grout cleaner, the degreaser, and dirty water all at once. Afterwards, I spot mopped with my Swiffer to finish the job. Pros: - The smell is probably the biggest pro for me. Is it a cleaning product? Yes. Does it smell like someoneโs science experiment? Of course. But the smell isnโt overwhelming. Most importantly, the fumes didnโt make me nauseous or cause a headache. I do recommend cracking open and window or door to help keep air flowing. - It does most of the heavy lifting in those five to ten minutes while soaking. While I used a scrubber on the grout the first time, I wasnโt killing myself doing it. Cons: - Youโll wonder why on earth you didnโt try it sooner. - In all seriousness, this product leaves a greasy residue on the floor! I know I said it once already, but Iโm saying it again because a lot of reviews complain about it. Be prepared with an degreaser! - This isnโt really a con, but I wanted to mention this anyway. Is this magic? Absolutely. But it REQUIRES time, patience, and elbow grease. Depending on how nasty your grout is, itโs possible youโll have to repeat the process more than once to get the desired results. With the correct tools, the job will be easier, but itโs still a job. Overall: DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND BUY THIS! I try a lot of different cleaning product for all around my house. Most of them are a let down. This one not only exceeded my expectations, but Iโd never been so happy cleaning dirty grout before.

Mine were very black and should have been white. I did need to scrub a little and repeated sometimes but it worked! I then used sealer paint and itโs protected and beautiful

Grout-Eez
This product performed very well. There is some brushing required and a good cleanup with water and a cleanser or soap.

Didn't work for me
I was disappointed to see that after two tries there is not much improvement in the grout on my porcelain kitchen floor.
