I don't usually write reviews, but in this case I felt I really really should.My cat has been quite unwell lately and had started to pee in one spot on my carpet. Now, I scrubbed it with many, and I mean many carpet products, including my carpet cleaning machine which is usually excellent. Alas... All the cleaning seemed to do was succeeded in making the smell worse, if cat pee can smell any worse that is. I was truly at my wits end, so I set about looking for anything new to try. I came across this product and with nothing else but the smell to loose I bought it. I also bought a black light torch to identify the exact size of the offending area, (a very cool little investigative device).I followed the instructions and decided to first use it diluted with water (it can also be applied neat, but that was plan B). So, I applied it with a small sponge I had it to hand, (the kind with a scourer on the back) and having first squeezed a few spongefulls of the liquid onto the carpet, I dabbed the affected area of the carpet and beyond with the sponge. It does becomes very foamy when dabbed with a sponge, but in for a penny in for a pound - I kept going until the whole area was nice and ' foamy'. I then dabbed the foam away with a clean dry and now disposable, cloth - the foam cleared easily so that was good. It probably took all of 5 mins to do from beginning to end. I did my CSI thing and shone the torch... yep, all signs of soiling gone, and I left it to dry overnight. In the morning I checked and OMG, it has worked. I can't believe it - NO MORE SMELL - nada. Goodness, I am so happy my problem has gone I felt I just had to shout about it, However, as this problem was at best very embarrassing, I really didn't have that many people to gleefully shout at / to. So, I have chosen to shout to other like minded animal lovers who might be suffering a similar problem.It definitely worked for me, so, while it may be a little on the expensive side, It could just work for you too. This urine neutraliser is fantastic stuff. My extremely large Greyhound is old now and sometimes wets the carpet when he stands up after waking up. His urine smells really strong and there's lots of it due to his huge bladder and this stuff does a fantastic job of removing the smell. I've been putting it (diluted; half water, half neutraliser) in my carpet washer so I can remove as much urine as possible before soaking the patch with the neutraliser for about 10 minutes and the washer sucks that back up leaving no urine smell or stain. The neutraliser itself has a very strong sweet smell but it goes away after a couple of hours. I'd definitely recommend it for quality and value for money.

Got this when our cat started weeing inside- the smell was awful and this really helped clear it off. I’ve probably bought about 5 lots of it by now. Very effective for bed wetting too; really eradicates the smell!

What marvellous product. My house and my clothes feel fresh now. Thanks to the fabulous urine neutralizer.

Used this on thick carpet after our cat has repeatedly urinated on the area. Used an old spray bottle, washed it out, mixed 50/50 with water. Thoroughly wetted the area after dabbing the urine dry with tissue and rubbed in the mixture. Dabbed excess mixture out the carpet and left for a few days. The smell was reduced - however definitely not gone. I'm going to try it again see if it's better the second time round, then try a carpet cleaner. The reason it has 3 stars is primarily the smell - whilst I believe it neutralises the smell to an extent, they have scented it with bubblegum or something incredibly sweet which unfortunately psychologically replaces the smell of urine with another pungent smell, which in turn reminds you that there's urine there...
