I'm still on the fence with these
They are sturdy appearing bags. I have a second crop working in them now. Filled, you will need 2 people to move them. They hold 4 cf of soil or about 4 bags, depends on the brand. My observations for mine- they are not directly on the ground, there is a barrier in between them and the ground. They seem to be rotting out around the base and they are outside . I was hoping to get more than a year out of these, and I may very well get longer use. But, considering what I am seeing, now. I will be cautious moving them if I need to. You need to make sure you are filled 3 to 4 inches to the top, because the first rain, the sides fold right on over. This is one of those purchases that you should consider- do I need these to be long term, or I only need them for a short time and go from there.

Ok bag, terrible handles
I bought these because I thought the light color would be good for the summer heat and because I needed larger bags than the 5 and 7 gallon ones I already had. The bags themselves are OK - a bit flimsy, and I should have known that the tan color would just look dirty. The sides are thin and don’t stand up well, so they were more difficult to fill than my other bags. Once full, they did their job - one ended up with a hole in the side (not sure how, maybe a mouse chewed it??) but the big problem came when it tried to move the bags. The handles basic rotted off - not sure if it was sun or heat that cause the woven strap to break down, but they just came off in my hands before they even bore any of the bag’s weight. I was hoping to get more than a year out of these but I’m currently shopping for something else - a little darker, a littler thicker, and with much more substantial handles.

Semi-sufficient
I guess these bags are fine. My tomatoes seemed to have grown well on them. I didn’t have any problems with the plants seeming to be root bound. I placed the bags on top of existing river rock around my house and noticed they drained well. The downfall for me is that the handles broke. All of the handles that had direct all day sun seem to have broken down. The ones that happened to be on the sides that didn’t get all day sun are still find. Definitely a negative. Handles are part of what I wanted bags for. I can probably more easily grab the sides of a pot versus the sides of a bag.I don’t think I’d buy them again.

Costs a bit more, but thick n sturdy, unlike my other grow bags.
Very well made, much thicker and sturdier than other bags claiming 300mil. Stands up much easier when empty, too, for easier filling. Light color means you can see mildew if kept too wet...keep that in mind if it matters. Go by the measurements provided--don't assume it's as big as your other 7 gallon bags, because it's likely not.

Ok grow bag
Great reasonably priced grow bag set. So glad to find an alternative to black which cooks my poor plants in the summer sun.Update:. While these still work well they do not breathe as much as the smart pot I have and the handles have completely fallen apart. Some broke within the first few uses and other just decomposed in the sun.

Your plant will love you for this!
I was recommended this bag because my plant was poorly potted and was not breathing, although it was in a big clay pot the roots were still encircled even after 3 months of being in a large pot. I love that I have the option of changing the pot as I wish (without the mess) because the plant is growing inside the bag. I’m optimistic about this new method of growing my plant and will post updates once I see the growth begin!

Great Size for Herbs
These little pots are perfect for blending in my tiny garden. I need small pots for growing herbs for culinary use, and these fit the bill. My son in Oregon recommended that I use these, and I thought he was nuts because I live in Vegas (the anti-Oregon). How could this work in such a radically different climate? Well, as it turns out, they work fine! I have to water every day anyway, and with these, I don't have to worry about the soil drying out unevenly. My mint, oregano, sage, (especially) parsley, fennel, and cilantro are doing quite well. The smaller plastic pots that are usually used for herbs don't work because I've tried them over and over with little to no luck. I think there's a chance that my brown thumb may actually turn green!

It's a keeper
I love, love everything about this bag, it's very much needed for my veggie plants...my friend Laverne love them also, she couldn't believe how tough and strong they are.....we filled them with community compost, which is heavy when filling any kind of package, box or bag.....it's all that and a planting bag...
