Keeps the kittens out while we pee
Our bathroom door in the master bath doesn't have a locking mechanism and can just be pushed open. Ok. So I made the mistake of shining a laser pointer on the door while playing with my kitties. In their angst they urgently barrelled into the door, and their itty bitty kitty bodies bludgeoned open the door. They learned from this. They learned that their tiny weenie bodies can indeed open the door with enough momentum.Shortly after inadvertently teaching our kitties how to open the bathroom door, we would come home to clear signs of perusing, evidenced by an open door, and half eaten toothbrushes. I created little monsters, and my wife is NOT happy.Ok, so I had a plan on how to solve this issue. I needed some kind of automatic door closer, but I am also super cheap, so these looked like the perfect solution. So far, they work great. While using the bathroom we hear the failed attempts at cascading through the door, which gently closes right back at them before they have the chance to make it through. It's not a violent closing, just enough to stop the kitties from getting in. We here the door ruffle. We here the disappointed struggling noises from a defeated cat. It works perfectly.Highly recommend for light weight doors.

cheaply made and fails to work right
My daughter and my wife seem to have a hard time closing the door that goes to the garage so i figured this would do it for them. I installed it and it barely moves the door. I tried to set the tension and after one turn of the tension it broke. It was garbage.

Door closers
I have three dogs who never can close the back door. They are in and out all day. These closers are fabulous! Easy to install and now my fur babies can go in and out as they please. I did use both on my back door. I’m very pleased with this product. But, you should have knowledge of “how to “ as instructions are NOT in English. There is a picture of the instruction process.

Chinese junk
You get what you pay for. First, the rollers are not like what's shown in the picture with wide point of surface contact. Instead, they're two narrow rollers, making the force applied at the point of contact much more concentrated, leading to possible indentation in the paint or wood. The supplied metal plate that you can stick in place will help, but I really didn't want to do that given that pulling it off later if/when I don't want the door closer anymore will be a problem for the door finish. Second, the direction are terrible. Non-English junk and incomplete. But if you're reasonably handy, it's an easy install. Third: Threading into the rotating central part was terrible; painted over the cut threads leading to binding when trying to insert the threaded rod.Tip: get two 4" long bolts and use to crank the tension up to the desired strength. The included short threaded rod is a joke because you can't quickly pull it out and reset it with a second to work the spring (increase tension as you go hand-over-hand).I had purchased this 2-count package because other (probably the same Chinese factory) product said the tension wasn't enough. In hindsight, they just didn't know how to properly set the tension. One is likely enough for almost any door. Mine is a small closet door (24" wide, but solid wood). In fact, these might work better on a heavier door since the acceleration won't be as fast, and the momentum will be higher to ensure the door latches.

Good for small doors
I put up 2. one on a pantry door works fine. 1 on the bath room door. They are a little hard to set the tension not to bad. The one on the bathroom door the spring broke. The bigger doors the do not close.
S**!
They work really well and are easy to install.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
