I absolutely love this dog gate. For the price it is an amazing deal. I have a healer who is absolutely insane in the car and she refuses to stay in the back of my CRV. She jumps up to the back and front seats and jumps back-and-forth like a psychopath. This leads to slobber and hair absolutely everywhere and I just bought a new car and refused to have it covered in dog hair. So I went on Amazon to find a product that was affordable yet effective. I will admit initially looking at it the instructions were a little bit hard to understand which I noticed was the major complaint among other buyers, but honestly After a couple minutes it was pretty easy to figure out how it goes together. I have a 2003 Honda CRV and it fits perfectly in my vehicle. My dog is not a pusher or a tour and so as long as the space where she could fit through to the front is blocked she doesn’t try and wiggle through so I’m not sure if you have a dog who likes to force their way through how sturdy it will be but it works for me. after a couple minutes it was pretty easy to figure out how it goes together. We like to travel with our dogs and recently purchased a Tesla Model 3. One of our first purchases for the car was the all-weather cargo mat for the trunk because it's next to impossible to get the dog hair out of the trunk lining material. This is also the reason we wanted to have the dogs contained to the trunk area. Our dogs are about Beagle size and the Model 3 trunk is large enough for them to stand up and move around. We had been looking for a barrier that would allow us to put the back seats down and contain the dogs in the trunk area so that they have plenty of air circulation provided by the rear vents. We first tried a cargo net, but this was messy and I had to zip tie the netting to all sorts of things in the car to secure it. So then we tried the Jumbl Backseat Pet Barrier. After a few modifications, it works great. I had to cut and grind two of the wires on the grid to allow the barrier to fit over the seat brackets. I attached the two side panels low on the barrier so that they are secured by sitting behind the seat backs. Then I found I could use the two hook attachment bases that came with the barrier to secure the barrier to the brackets as shown in the photos. It works great. It's clean, easy to put in and take out and the dogs love it.

Installed into our 2009 Honda Pilot easily. We bought this because we have a rambunctious puppy that continued to hop over the third row cargo area into the 2nd row seats. Then our very well-behaved 7 year old German Shepherd decided she was going to do that as well. If the puppy got cushy leather seats then why was she still sitting in the back on the cargo carpet? So far since installation no one has escaped into the front but we have had to readjust the side pieces a few times. It hasn't bothered us that much. If it was that big a problem I'm sure my husband would figure out a way to zip tie it or something so the side pieces could be a little bit more sturdy. Overall I think this was a great buy for the money and I would recommend it.

It was easy to figure out how this worked, but as another reviewer said the hook sizes are off. The short set did not work on our Escape, and the long ones were too long. We just used the long ones and it is shaky. I can also see the hooks eventually snapping, as they are just plastic. Even the instructions warn you not to over tighten the hook or it will lose its shape and no longer "hook." The plastic knobs to tighten are worthless, one broke off immediately and I actually found it easier to tighten the bolt with pliers. I like the design though and the price. We have a 6 month old, 34 lb, Lab mix and we had been trying to train her to ride in the back for some longer trips, but she always would jump to the middle and then try for the driver. So far she has not made any attempts to jump to the middle seats, she just hangs out in the back. Since it is wobbly due to the long hooks I don't know if it would hold, if you have a larger, determined dog.

I stalled with the shorter side up, used the hooks to attach the one large panel plus two smaller panels on each side, the small round pieces secured the side panels in place. Completely covers the area between seats and ceiling, goes all the way to the edges, seats can even still flip down flat (though you have to be under 5’5” to drive that way). We have a 65 lb senior, a 54 lb middle Pitt, and a 17 lb rescue whose final size is yet to be discovered. Only the pittie could make it over the back seats pre-Install, and he is now unable to leave the cargo area which is beneficial while transporting 140 lbs of dogs without a second set of hands. Install was easy for me, despite what other reviewers have said. Yeah it’s cumbersome and I had to remove the main attachments and reposition, and getting them tightened enough was difficult because of a feature that kind of pops the tightening knob down into a position where even your busiest and most determined dog won’t be able to move it, but still only took me ten minutes and three or four swear words, mostly directed at myself for bad first decisions. It seems very simple and slightly flimsy for the price, but I used points and got it cheaper, so really 4.5 stars, rounded up.

I bought this to keep my dog and his shed hair confined to the very back of my SUV. I have a 2018 Toyota RAV4. It was super simple to install and it has held up extremely well! I installed it by myself in about 15 minutes, but if you have a partner working with you, you could probably install it in half the time. Our 65 pound lab was kept well confined with this in place. I also really loved that it did not block my view at all with my rearview mirror. The dog also liked that he could still see us. I now don't have to deal with attaching and un-attaching the seat cover over my back seat for my dog, and he and all of his shed hair is confined to the far back cargo area with a Weathertech mat in place, so it is super easy to keep my vehicle clean now. I give this product a 10/10!

I have a 5 year old Shepherd/Husky so need to keep him in the area behind the back seats. I received the package on time and in good shape. Installing it was a little cumbersome since there's 3 free-moving pieces to try to measure out and attach and I wasn't able to do that after the center piece was installed due to the headrest being in the way so had to take out/assemble/put in/take out/adjust/put in, etc. That being said, I think having the option to fit it to your specific car is a plus. The anchors that hold the main center gate piece to the headrest come with two hook length options which was handy and the shorter hooks worked in my car. The anchors have the knob you use to tighten it to secure the center piece to the headrest however when it gets to a certain point, the knob locks and you can't tighten it further. I ended up popping the cap ends off and using a wrench to secure it completely. Overall, it's tightly in there and there doesn't appear to be any gaps my fur beast could wriggle through so it'll do what I want it to do. I'm good with the product and would suggest this to someone looking for a pup gate.
