It's a really nice butter dish. I purchased it to use at a Renn Faire for a dinner feast. We were able to fit a full pound of better in it and have the lid still close nicely. It was about 85 degrees outside and the butter didn't melt. It looked like a nice crock that one might use to set a nice table.

Prior to ordering this dish I kept butter on my counter in a plastic container with a lid. This looks so much better. The lid fit well and has a good seal.

Somehow I missed that this was melamine and was expecting ceramic, so I was a bit disappointed, but other than that it's a very cute little dish. It's much bigger than any other butter dish I have so I'm going to use it to store leftovers. If I made my own butter this would make a great dish or mold, but it's really bigger than I want in my cupboard. The wooden/bamboo top is great, looks good and the silicon seal real does seal.

Love this butter dish. Perfect fit for my kerrygold. Lid doubles as a butter plate. Keeps butter fresh and accessible. Durable and easy to keep clean. Have recommended to others

The silicon ring on this does not provide a tight seal. The lid falls right off. Not sure that it is really airtight.

An excellent butter dish with a snug cover! Actually better and safer than pottery! With a beautiful look of glass or ceramic!

I bought this to keep butter out on the counter. I didn’t read the info correctly, it’s made of plastic (high grade) and not ceramic. The butter gets warm and cheese like. Not suited to my needs. Still, pretty if you want a butter dish that is larger and kept in the fridge

This is great! Plenty large to fit one or several sticks of butter, and you can use it with the wooden part on the top or on the bottom. We love the clean look with no cheesy writing or designs
