I got this for my nephew, he loves games like this, and this was a great surprise. He loved the game. The story, the art style, the characters and even started to learn and hum the music. He really liked all the different options he had and how he had to make choices, so he had to think ahead (the puzzles are really good, they are just hard enough to be challenging). This game really made him feel like he was playing Zelda, but the art style is amazing, I think it looks like Studio Ghibli art, and we both love it. The value this game offers is, in my opinion, is huge. I don't see you can go wrong getting this game, I'm surprised it's not more popular. I hope this helps.

It’s a Zelda like action rpg with ghibli like visuals, as long as you understand it’s not Zelda level quality and finish you should have a fun time. The game has bugs that pop up every few hours that often require a reset but the auto saving feature makes that not a big deal to me. The item menus are a bit glitchy in that notifications will pop up and unless you click the menu button they don’t go away. The actual gameplay and story is fun, it somehow reminds me of older games like landstalker for genesis.

I liked it, but I didn’t complete it and probably won’t. I think it’s a great value for the money. Pros: (1) fun gameplay. (2) Good puzzles. (3) Decent fights (on the easier side of video game combat). (4) Overall, challenging enough to engage while easy enough not to frustrate. (5) The story is cute and characters are reasonably likable. (6) Weirdly, I also really like the sounds it makes lol. I’m not talking about the music - which is also pretty good - but the sounds when fighting, throwing, etc are cute lol. Can’t explain it better than that. Cons: (1) the map. It never “opens up” so that you can actually use it to know where you’re going. Not sure if that makes sense, but you simply can’t rely on the map to get around. (2) weird “reset” between chapters. There are 4 chapters in the game, but each one is sort of treated as a brand new game - meaning you lose everything you acquired in the previous chapter. This is one of the main reasons I stopped playing after the first chapter. IMO it ruins the continuity and makes it feel like I’m restarting the same exact game I just played. Overall, I think this is a game with ENORMOUS potential that got such a bad response upon release that the developers gave up on it. Regardless, it is very entertaining if you’re okay with it being brief - and, who knows - if you’re a person that doesn’t mind replaying a game/restarting you might actually find yourself continuing to next chapters. For the price, I definitely recommend it.

I never played the game before all the updates but the game is fun and enjoyable. I'm 43 years old and I understand probably what the original intent was with the difficulty and the lack of direction or motive in the game. The original Zelda for the NES was like that. You didn't know where to go and you were killed often. Many NES games were frustrating but we all spent time playing because there wasn't many video game releases back then. Also they fixed the auto save which I guess would be a huge problem if you had to do stuff over and over again and waste hours of your time Today players want instant gratification and if they don't get it, it's off to the next game because there's an abundance. Games today must capture you immediately because of this. Also I am a father of 2 and I really want to find games that are enjoyable and won't waste a lot of my time. So far Baldo is enjoyable, the puzzles are challenging, and then the difficulty is just right for me (not easy but not unforgiving.

If you like The Legend of Zelda, you'll like this game, There's better music, better illustration style, the same gameplay style, (Same advantages and disadvantages as The Legend of Zelda) The switch version is very easy to crash and reads very slowly.... This is almost a common problem with most switch versions. If the updated version can overcome it, this is a perfect game.

Purchased for my granddaughter and she lives this game. Very happy

I wanted to like this but I am not a fan of beginning the game with no action just gardening tasks. the graphics are cute and all but in my opinion games like tunic and death's door are done right in the 'zelda-like' genre of games.

10/10 Honesty the game is a bit tedious but the 3 dlcs and the actual game are very fun and complete. The only issue is that it is a where do I go type of game and it takes a long time to get through it since there are no clear indications but once you get the hang of it, it is very fun.

Everybody know this game was in a very poor state when it released digitally about a year ago. I wanna say the devs did an awesome job listening to the fan review. They completely fixed all the bugs and they also completelt revamped major parts of the game. The game runs well on switch and is really fun! Its the best zelda clone in recent years. DLC is included ON the cartridge and all the updates are also on the cartridge. When you insert it in your switch there is no updates to do, the game starts right away. Major props to the devs and I hope people will give this game a second chance because its a solid game! 9/10
