Gold Toe Men's Harrington Crew Socks, Multipairs, Blue Wave/Navy (6-pairs), Large

Love these socks as they are thick, good quality cotton and super soft and comfy. Much thicker than most socks available in Australia. They are true to size and seem to wash well. I tried them for a few weeks and then ordered again in another colour range.

The socks were packaged in what can only be described as a thin plastic film produce bag. They were literally falling out of the bag. The socks are great and fortunately didn't get damaged. The soles are a little thicker and the ankle is stretchy. You can pull them up quite high. I'd buy them again. Update, these are my "go-to" socks. I've bought them three times. Don't confuse the Stanton, dress and thinner, Goldtoe socks with these. Bought them a fourth time. Packaging was better this time. I wear them out since I walk around the house with them so they get holes after may 10 uses. So that means replacing them every couple months.

I purchased these for myself (female) because men's socks tend to have a higher mix of natural fibers which make for better socks. However, these are quite tight to pull on and I do NOT have a large foot (women's 6.5-7). The warmth is acceptable, though they are thinner than the one's my husband has. I ordered these thinking they were the same ones I borrowed from him. I do like that they reach up to my knees.

Order a size larger than you need or they will be to tight.

These socks are nice and seem well made. I like the soft thickness of them. Things I don't like: 1) Excessively tight elastic band at top of calf, making them uncomfortable. If you have a problem with slipping socks, you will never have that problem with these socks! 2) They are too long in the calf for my taste; they come up quite high. 3) The large size is supposed to fit a US men's shoe size of 6 to 12.5. I wear a size 11 and there is an inch of extra room in the foot. If you wear a size 9, you will be swimming in these socks. I'm hoping they will shrink a bit, but they didn't after the first washing and drying with heat.
