A great re-watch

I think it is the best of the Python films. With classic sketches like"Live Organ Donation"; "The Incredible Exploding Man"; "Every Sperm Is Perfect..." you cannot fail to laugh long and hard.

This is Monty Python's final film and it's a film i keep going back to. Great to have it on Blu-ray now. Meaning Of Life is Python's least of the 3 that they made, not counting And Now For Something Completely Different, in my opinion Life Of Brian is their masterpiece and their best followed by Holy Grail then Meaning Of Life.I love all of their films so i am obviously biased, but they are an institution now so you can't go wrong with anything Python related.

I love Monty Python films and although this does not have the reputation that the life of Brian and the holy Grail have, it was funnier than I remembered it with some classic set pieces from the cast. It has some ruder bits than I remembered which caused some wincing on the parts of my children who were, of course, watching it with their parents. I can recommend this as long as the kids are not watching with you if they are young and being introduced to Monty Python.

Classic Comedy the meaning of like at a bargain price! cant say farer than that.if you havent seen the life of brian before it is a hilarious compilation of sketch show style bits from the python team, quite differnt to the likes of the life of Brian and the Holy grail but hilarious just the same.Due the sketch show nature of this DVD it is great to did in and out of, you dont have to sit down and watch the whole thing like there feature films.

Delivered on time and in perfect condition. The last and perhaps the best Monty Python movie. Love the introduction sequence and the musical "Every Life Is Sacred" skit. No holds barred, no quarter given. Probaly would be horribly censored and pc defunded today. How far we have fallen? We should have listened.

Of course it's brilliant. Even though the video has not been digitised, or not done very well, the basic premise is still there. I am a Monty Python fan but I review this who believes their job is done. But there are still lessons in the meaning of life for generations to share, even if it's Eric Idle's wish that there is alien intelligence because there's bugger all down here.

You doubtless know what you think of the film, so is it worth buying on 4k?Depends. If you are expecting the film to look like something shot in the last few years, you'll be disappointed. The bad is that some of the indoor scenes look rather tired, notably the clean-up after Mr Creosote. But much of the film has noticeably more detail, and because it's reproduced in HDR there's a vibrancy missing from previous release. 'Every Sperm is Sacred' looks fantastic as the set pieces unfold.So, if you love the film and your expectations are tempered a little, I think it's worth it.

In Deutschland gibt es seit einiger Zeit ja leider nur die miese Neusynchro, bei der man sich zwar Mühe gegeben hat, aber wer die richtige Synchro kennt, will keine andere hören. Darum ist das der beste Grund, sich diese DVD anzuschaffen.
