I have found that to be so true because I installed a couple of adhesive hooks I use to hang my head phones and didn't wait to let adhesive set, now they are falling down a lot. I read some reviews saying that the adhesive for the Magnetic Cabinet Locks does not hold up. Well I bet when installed the reviewers did not wait a day or so before using them. I have had these on our cabinets for almost a week and have tugged on the cabinet doors many times now. The adhesive holds Great and now Max the cat is mad because he can't go under the sinks (Ha,Ha)! We have installed 3 of these locks so far, and they work great. The best part is the mold that you put both pieces of the lock into for installation. This enables you to stick it to just the right spot without any trouble. Brilliant! My 18-month-old has yanked on the drawers pretty hard, but the adhesive holds. The magnet will even open a drawer with a very thick front. You can use any strong magnet if you need an extra key.Adhesive locks like this are a must for drawers that are not very high (like your silverware drawer) because you will not have room to get a screwdriver into the opening to install a screw-on lock.

We have bought several of these locks. We put some in my mother-in-laws house and in our camper. I have a 18 month old and she is into everything. We also travel with my husband in the camper so we have to be careful about screwing things into the cabinets. I LOVE that these are adhesive. They work really well against my daughter pulling on the doors. You can flip a switch to unlock the lock, and then switch it to lock back up when you are done. These locks are better, in my opinion, then the ones that you can get at walmat that screw into the door, because theses locks do not allow the child to open the door at all so they don't get their fingers smashed.

This was my first time purchasing any kind of cabinet locks for baby safety. I've installed 3 of the 4 locks it is packaged with. So far, I do not have any complaints or criticism of this product. It is easy to install, is very reasonably priced, and has been, so far effective at keeping our 11 month old from opening the cabinets. The 3M sticker on the back appears to be sufficient. During installation, I had to try several times to find the ideal spot so the locking mechanism would hinge. I used a butter knife to help separate the 3M sticker from the wood that it was briefly attached to. Even after placing and displacing the 3M sticker several times, it maintained its adhesive component and had remained effective. Would I buy this product again? Sure, if I need more locks.

Only two of the locks ended up working. Had to throw the other two out. The adhesive wouldn’t work.

Very very weak holding power.I've installed these perfectly, as closely aligned as the components can be, and my 40 pound dog rips them open without any effort.First time reviewing anything on Amazon, trying to figure out how this company will refund me my money for this purchase and one a few months prior. Do not buy if you have anything stronger than a gentle breeze trying to open them.

Love these! My husband whined a little about the installation, but I'm sure they were way easier than ones that required tools! I love that I don't have to have bulky or ugly locks on our cabinets that are visually unappealing short term and can cause damage that lasts forever. I was 50% sure our very strong, persistent and stubborn 1 year old would just rip these adhesive locks open, but it's been almost 2 months and they're all still going strong. Even the ones on the kitchen cabinets I ALWAYS forget are there and yank on myself are still just as strong as the day they were installed. Really impressive! I also love that you can disable the lock with a quick flip of the toggle inside the door lock. I unlock them all when our house cleaner comes so she can get to all the chemicals with the hassle of unlocking everything, but easily flip them back when she's done. These are great!

Worked well for a few weeks. Kids were able to get it open. Luckily it was just to lock away snacks.
