Hearing Aid - Simply Soft Smart Touch Left Ear, Beige - Mild-to-Moderate High Frequency Hearing Loss

These are good hearing aids but the break very easy.I bought these as a spare for my original ones. My original ones have had to be repaired probably 30 times or more over the years.The wires inside keep breaking. Sadly they charge over $100 for repairs out of warranty. If you have spares then your likely to have to pay for the repair because your spare will end up being out of warranty.If they keep breaking for the same broken wire then it should never be a charge to get it repaired. I have had to send at least 1 in every month and once the had all 3 of them. I bought some really cheap hearing enhancers for those occasions.For sound quality these are great. Filters the garbage background noise and lets you hear all the important stuff. I ride a motorcycle and I can keep these in while wearing a helmet without the feedback although by the end of the day your skin oil and sweat will cause them to start sliding out of your ear.Were it not for the constant repair I would give these 5 stars.

I have given the seller several days from receiving the defective device to provide assistance and I have not heard from them. I have also called the support line given in the instructions and I get a voice message saying, "We are currently on the line with customers"...Why would you only have, what seem like, one person answering phones. It is now a week from receiving the order and I have not heard back from the seller. The device is LOUD and I cannot turn the device down. Pressing the button on is supposed to initiate "beeps" when turning the device up or down and it does nothing. DO NOT ORDER. I believe that their are people taking advantage of FSA/HSA funds and getting off scott's-free.

After trying most the the hearing amplification products available without a prescription, and noting the complaints by users of "real" hearing aids about high cost, I have been using the Simply Soft Smart Touch right ear model for almost a year, and I can vouch for its value. For those who are not aware, the Simply Soft models are professional quality hearing aids that are purchased "as is", without customization for fit or for actual frequencies of hearing loss. Luckily, the SSST fits my ear canal just fine, and the frequency compensation works well for my impairment. I have not had any problems with reliability and my hearing is now almost normal. Highly recommended.

After getting headaches from my $1800 ea. hearing aids from a well advertised company, I quit wearing them. (They continually popped out while eating or talking.) After reading lips and trying to nod and smile at the "right" times (because I had no idea what the person was saying), I happened on these while shopping online at Walmart. After much, much on line research and realizing that I would no longer have to wrap tape or band-aids around them (to try to keep them in) I ordered a pair . I can hear!!!! They stay in place and are so comfortable that I forget that I am wearing them. NO MORE HEADACHES. NO MORE READING LIPS!!! Thanks SimplySoft...
