Daughtry has scored four No. 1 hits, garnered four Grammy nominations, won four American Music Awards, sold over 7.5 million albums, 17 million singles worldwide and sold out concerts around the world. Daughtry's self-titled debut was the fastest selling rock debut in Soundscan history and its follow up Leave This Town marked the quintet's second consecutive No. 1 album and Daughtry's third album Break The Spell was certified gold in 4 weeks of its release. In addition to recording and touring the globe, Daughtry is also dedicated to using its position to raise awareness about a number of charitable causes including an ambassadorship with DC Comics We Can Be Heroes campaign."We're excited to unveil our new musical direction," says Chris Daughtry. "We wanted to remain true to our roots but at the same time felt the need to push ourselves creatively more than ever. 'Waiting For Superman' is a perfect example of the overall theme to the new album."The deluxe edition features exclusive acoustic performances of new songs.

LOVE ... LOVE ... LOVE!
When I first read the reviews, I was honestly kind of hesitant about buying this CD, but I own every other Daughtry CD, so I wasn't about to let those reviews stop me from adding it to my collection. I decided to listen to it five times straight through before giving my honest opinion, and now I can't help but wonder ... why the bad reviews?? (Especially the person who said Chris sounds like Bieber. Dude, you are whacked!) Sure, it's not the hard rock that many of us faithful Daughtry fans have become accustomed to, but I approached this with an open mind, and that's why I gave it five stars. Chris' vocals are right on the mark. Yes, he's great on every one of his CD's, but there's something different about this one. I can't quite put my finger on it, but his vocals seem stronger and just better overall. My favorite tracks are Wild Heart, Witness, Waiting For Superman, Battleships, Broken Arrows, 18 Years, and Long Live Rock and Roll. My advice for future buyers is to not read the bad reviews, and if you do, please don't let them sway you from buying Baptized. Keep an open mind, and I bet you'll love it too.

Needs to get back to what got him here!!
I remember watching American Idol and listening to Daughtry rock it out on every song. He never held back and stayed true to the music he loved and to what he does best. With each album, he has gotten softer and softer. This one has fallen to nothing more than a pop album. And while I like the album well enough, it's just not what I want. People can say he is having fun or whatever they want, but the truth remains that he always said he liked and always played Rock and Roll. And based on album sales, he better get back to what got him here or he will become irrelevant. This album still hasn't sold 100,000 copies, and if that doesn't speak volumes as to what his fans want, then nothing will and he will be gone very soon.Again, it not a bad album. His voice is magical, but if all that mattered was the voice, many other artists would be top sellers. Hopefully, he will getting back to the Rock and Roll style that he introduced us to and show the energy and power that made me love these guys in the first place.

Great CD, Daughtry rocks!
The CD came still wrapped in its original plastic, brand new. I love Daughtry! I have two other CDs by him and wanted this one too add to my collection. It has one of my personal favorites by him, battleships. But, I also like waiting for superman, wild heart, long live rock & roll, and witness. I haven't listened to this CD yet. Who knows maybe I'll like a song on it I never heard yet.

Great album
I absolutely love Daughtry and have been a fan since Chris Daughtry was on American idol. I was lucky enough to see them live last year and they sang some of the songs from this album and I have to say it's only made me love this album even more

WOT' NO GUITARS ???
I'm sure that in the right hands this batch of songs would make another excellent Daughtry album. However the production & arrangement of these tracks is sterile at best. Where previously I've put Daughtry up there with the likes of Nickelback, at best this album reminds me of Matchbox 20 & at worst Katy Perry. Is there an electric guitar on this album because all I hear is programming & when I dig deeper into the credits & see the players on each track, the actual Daughtry band members are barely listed. It's not surprising his two guitarists get no credits & I assume they went on vacation while this album was being made. Let's hope this was something he had to get out of his system & not record label pressure forcing him to go down this route. For what it's worth my personal faves are Baptized, I'll fight, Broken arrow & Traitor

Missing vocals
While I don't think this album is bad in any way, I can't help but think that Daughtry's voice isn't used to its full potential and when you are known for being a growler, you must growl. The music here is great but let the next album be a mixture of both heavier rock and pop ballads as well, the opening track didn't leave as strong an impact on me as did "Renegade" on Break the Spell! Also to be noted, when you buy a Deluxe Edition of an album, you ought to get more than just one dimmed out band photo! So some more artwork would be nice in the future!

LOVE everything Daughtry do
I'm a massive fan of Daughtry and always have been since lead singer Chris Daughtry's Idol audition. I think this is my favourite album that they have done so far. The only track on there that I don't love quite as much as the rest is 'Cinderella'; It's not typical of their style and a bit weaker than the usual stuff but it grew on me after a few listens. I pre-ordered this album and am still playing it on repeat several weeks later - I don't think I'll ever get bored of their music.

i hope this isnt the future !!
im a big Daughtry fan and I have been looking forward to this new album and seeing their gig later in March. The album I have listened to quite a few times now, to be honest its not as good as their previous blasts as im more the heavy rock chick fan than this more commercial market offering.there are some real toe tappers on the album and a few tracks like 'baptised' and 'long live rock n roll' are great to sing along to in the car, but im missing the gritty songs that i liked them for in the beginning, one of the songs sounds very katy perry like and if westlife were still around you could see them doing their versions on many of these tracks.all in all, get it if your a fan and decide yourself, im glad i have it as it will please alot of my friends in my car who dont like the rock stuff... but when im in the car on my own it will be my last choice of their albums to play.i just hope the gig wont be all this album!!
