I love this lamp for working on tedious projects and reading tiny print. As we age, we lose our ability to see tiny things as well as we used to. Not anymore! The light is adjustable both in color temperature and brightness. The magnifying lens is great for working with small, fiddly projects as well as reading tiny print. I found using the base is more useful than the desktop mount. I tried both and liked the base because my desktop lacked an adequate location to place the mounting clamp. Your actual desktop may vary. The only downside is the placement of the switch, which is mystifyingly placed several inches down the cord, away from the lamp itself. This results in the switch falling behind my desk and needing to be fished out every time I want to turn it on or off.

Solid product - I love this thing WAY more than I thought I would. The magnification is good enough for basic detail work. Came with both a clamp and a stand (I use the stand and its very stable). It has an on/off switch, and also allows you to control both the brightness of the light, and has like 6 different light color hues like blueish, white, orange/red etc that you can quickly flip through. Easy to maneuver around and stays put.. My only gripe would maybe make the cord a little bit longer but that's just splitting hairs at this price point.

I felt compelled to leave a review because finding a decent lens was a struggle. I took off one star purely because of the way this magnifying glass, and all other magnifying glasses for that matter, are advertised. This is not a 10X powered lens. I'm not entirely sure what the algorithm is these sellers use to determine the 10X value. This lens is a 3X magnification, meaning it has a focal distance of 4 to 6 inches and what you'll be looking as approximately 200% larger. I ordered several glass lenses and digital microscopes in pursuit of something that would be suitable for what I needed. This was by far the best quality lens I found at the price point. My project was a Nixie clock and it had several surface mounted ICs, the most complex was a 32 pin flat pack ATmega8 microcontroller. With this lens I was able to see the pins and the pads with no problem at all. I could clearly see all of my solder joints. The ring light around the lens provides more than adequate light by itself with no weird shadows or reflections. The base is plenty heavy to support the glass itself. The mechanical arm itself is okay, it manages to hold the lens and not drift too much. It's not the best, but it's definitely not the worst either.

This magnifying light is super bright and very helpful for close work. The lens is so strong that I once left it outside and it burned a small hole in my tablecloth, so lesson learned. Works great and definitely gets the job done.

This has helped me tremendously in my t-shirt making process. I am able to see fine details that I would otherwise not see. The stand makes the lamp very stable so no tipping over. The light helps with my dimly lit room. Great quality.

Sturdy and stays put. Different light levels of brightness and color shading. Perfect for fly tying. Nice little stand for my materials as well.

I’ve been using this magnifying glass with light for over a year now, and I absolutely love it. It has made working with beads so much easier—even while wearing progressive lenses! The magnification is clear and distortion-free, and I can fully extend the arm as needed to get the perfect angle. One of my favorite features is the versatility. It easily transitions from the clamp to the heavy base, making it convenient to move between rooms. I keep it clamped to my desk in the office most of the time, but when I want to work in another space, I just grab the base, lift the lamp from the clamp, and set it down—no fuss. See photos/video I also really appreciate being able to use just the light when I don’t need magnification. It gives off bright, even illumination, perfect for any project that needs a little extra visibility. I came to order another one for my daughter and was surprised by some of the negative reviews. I had to share my experience—this has been an incredibly helpful and reliable tool in my creative space.

Bought this as the base supposedly allows for magnifier to be used without tipping over. This tips over with just a small extention. Maybe they gave me a different base? I wanted to use this with the base not the clamp which makes it unfit for my use.

The lamp does not come with a base as shown in the picture and please note: that as it does not have a power supply you will have to buy another USB power-supply in order to use it. The lamp and clamp provided are reasonable quality but if I had realized that the product is not what is in the picture shown, or in the description (pedestal) I would not have purchased it

Very good. I was concerned about the delivery time when I realised the magnifying mirror was coming from America, but it was delivered quickly.

Helpful product but does not come with AC 5V/2A adapter as written in description?
