Universe: "Original Star Trek Series” Classic Phaser with Lights and Sounds

I read some negative things about this phaser but can't say I agree with most. I have a rubies phaser and this one and the rubies looks a little sleeker but only has one setting, pull the trigger and it sounds like a phaser - plus you have to paint it, to make it look right. This phaser has three separate settings you can change (very cool) and they are color coded. The sound is spot on. Phaser fire, stun, and overload. Anything not right about it, is easy to overlook for the price and the electronic features. I'd say go for it, if you are like me, wanted a phaser since you were eight years old!

I love this phaser. It is well made, sturdy, the sound are amazing and the price was perfect. I paid $24.00 for mine in 2024 but I see the price is $149. I would not pay that much for it but for $24 it's perfect. It arrived on time and I would but it again once the price goes down.

Playmates did a great job with this Star Trek TOS Phaser. The paint details, lights, and sounds are very accurate. I brought it to a Trek convention and saw William Shatner. With this Phaser, the Playmates Star Trek TOS Communicator, and a cheap TOS uniform shirt, I was able to do Star Trek cosplay for less than $100. I had so much fun!Please make a TNG Phaser next! TOS and TNG Tricorders would be excellent as well.

It is perfect for a lower budget phaser. The sounds and effects are really cool. I am just displaying it with some other Star Trek goodies and it fits well in the display.

Okay. Ive had the bright blue and orange hand phaser for a while. It is the exact size and dimensions of a hand phaser from the original technical manual. It makes the phaser stream sound when you press the trigger. It is awesome, except its is white, sky blue and pastel orange.I got this one and it looks great at first. Then I pulled it out of the box and realized.... its a little small, like 96% the size of the technical manual diagram.Then I turn it around and there's a screw farm on the left side of it. NINE screws that... just ugly. My orange and blue one has three and it's perfectly sturdy.Then I see there's a power level knob. I turn it to Stun- it makes the stun sound and the tip lights up. Then I turn it again and it makes the kill sound. Then I turn it again and it makes the overload sound.I almost returned it over the wrong dimensions and screws on the side, but I decided to keep it. It's still really cool.

This is a pretty good replica for a low price. If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a type II phaser this is great. It's the right size and proportions. All the screw holes are on one side so it's easy to hide for cosplay photos. I even added velcro on mine to connect it to a phaser belt and that worked well.

This is a superb re-creation of the phaser from the original Star Trek series. I also very much like that it’s well built and has a good and easy to change battery compartment. Appears like it will be a reliable and usable discussion piece with my friends and acquaintances. Every bit worth the purchase price.

Ok, I have several of the PM's 90's version of this as well as a toy box full of phasers, tricorders, communicators from several different companies. This is a worthy updated and improved version. Better sounds, better lights, better trigger, and slightly sleeker design. It has the short "stun" sound that the 90's version didn't have as well as the emitter lighting up blue and red from a bright LED depending on the sound. The 90's version was only a regular light bulb from ancient times. I know some complain about the many screws on one side but it's not really that big a deal. The updated improvements make up for it, imo. Overall, and terrific value. I got several units as they'll eventually be out of production.

Decent quality.

Bought this to add to my star trek collection of memorabilia. I also have the more expensive phaser/TV remote, but this one is just as fun.
