Every two weeks I make big batch of dog food. I freeze most of it and thaw it as needed. I try to make the blending of the food as even as I can and sometimes that's a challenge when using a spatula to break up the meat. I saw a similar product in a local store and thought about for a few days before looking on Amazon. My wife was a bit skeptical but I went ahead and ordered on. It's great. It's easy to use, easy to clean and effective. It has shaved a few minutes off of my prep time and has easily gotten the meat to an even consistency. I did find that I need to let the meat brown a bit before using it because its not terribly effective unless the meat is browned. It really works and I would buy another one if something happened to this one (unlikely). It would have been really handy when cooking for the kids but they are all adults with their own families now.

I actually came across this when looking for a new potato masher, and told my husband how I thought it was a bit silly for potatoes. Then he piped up all excited “Oh I wanted to try that I saw those on some cooking videos!” because of course he did. So I found myself back here to grab one and try it out. Surprisingly enough, at least for me, now we are going to get some more. -It came in well packaged and in perfect shape with no dents/chips or blemishes. -It is very well made with the materials being quite sturdy, like double as a mallet kind of sturdy. -The handle is the perfect shape and size for gripping not only vertically but angled. Which I didn’t really expect as most are just a generic hold, kinda oval shaped. The textured grip is great even if your hands are greasy from cooking. -The Thumb rest/hanging hole is one of my favorite features. As others I had for mashing potatoes your thumb slides all over the place while mashing. -I do have to say that my favorite part is how EASY it is to clean compared to other mashers. No more tiny holes to make sure get cleaned or bent metal to rust ( That's actually why I was looking for a new one to begin with). -Unlike metal ones this one can be used in my new pans without any worry of scratching them up. -Also unlike the metal and my other plastic ones you can use this while you are cooking as it is built for high heat. I have tested it with temps that have melted some rubber spatulas and it did nothing to this. -At its current price and all it can do and how well it works this is definitely a great deal and the perfect kitchen investment. It not only worked great on potatoes but chicken, beef, pork, and hard boiled eggs! So would I recommend this? Yes I would, several times over.

This is great for separating ground beef for browning. It breaks the meat into even size pieces . MUCH easier and quicker than other methods that I have tried

This product was pretty much what I expected. A little bigger than expected but gets the job done. I would recommend it for mixing home made dog food.

I had a Pampered Chef chopper, but it's become a bit melted and damaged over the years. This is a perfect replacement. Just like my old Pampered Chef, this quickly chops up ground meat. I've been impressed how well it withstands the heat to avoid melting. It is comfortable in my hand and the grip with thumb rest is very nice. As some reviewers mentioned, the food does sometimes get a bit lodged between the blades, but 5 blades are much better than models with 4 blades. If you just keep chopping away, any caught bits of meat will eventually knock themselves out. This isn't a flaw and all 5 blades choppers will catch some meat bits (I've tried 3 and 4 blades models and much prefer having 5 blades). This isn't really a big deal and it is easy enough to dislodge anything. Cleanup is a breeze and I haven't encountered any staining. For the longest time, I thought these types of meat chopper were silly, but they do make quick work of chopping up ground meats. Whenever I make tacos or spaghetti, I always use this.

Works very well well, makes chopping meat a breeze. Works much better than a basic fork. Handle is long enough to keep hands away from hot liquids and still maintain control. Washes easily and is heat resistant.

Great little tool. Reduces ground beef to the perfect consistency for tacos! Is pretty also.

It works well but it takes a lot of effort to break up the meat. Shouldn't have to work so hard with a tool that's suppose to do the job. A spatula or spoon works the same as this product. Not really impressed.

Love it! Its a kitchen tool I didn't know existed but makes breaking up ground meats much easier and quicker than the potato masher I was using.

I should have listened to the reviews about it becoming useless. I used it once but switched to a spoon. I’ve been using a spoon for so long it would be nearly impossible to switch now. It’s a good idea, however, especially if you are new to cooking or you don’t mind changing evolutionary ingrained behaviour. Also the quality was good too but the top of the handle arrived unattached but I just put it back on it’s not like companies HAVE to sell us quality products anymore.

Ive been wanting one for a while now and was pleased with how perfectly it broke up the hamburger. Yes, one could use a fork as well BUT this is quicker, effortlessly and as mentioned, breaks it up perfectly.
