Great Eco-friendly way to start your garden!
I tried these bricks for the first time recently in my all-container balcony garden to help improve the moisture and aeration and have noticed a vast improvement so far. the bricks expand quickly to fill an entire bucket when water is added, then is light and fluffy and can easily be mixed in with regular (or older) potting soil. It is also great for starting seeds - all my seeds sprouted quickly using just Coco Fiber. I also like the fact that coconut fiber media is more eco-friendly than peat based media and has better fungal-resistance than other mulches or soil additives. I highly recommend this product and I am purchasing more myself (this price, $7.49 is fantastic!).I'll post more updates on performance as the spring and summer progress.

Needs to be mixed
The brick makes a good amount of "soil" and would probably be best expanded in a 5 gallon bucket.I wish I had bought something like perlite to mix it with though. Once the brick is expanded, it condenses back down when in your pot, etc. This might have been because a lack of knowledge on my side, but it's not a product I intend to use again. I'll likely just get soil from a garden store.

Useful but not practical for me
For my purpose this product ended up not being practical for my use. I can see where it would be a benefit to those growing plants in pots, both indoor & outdoor for a lighter weight medium besides soil. I found it too expensive and impractical for a medicinal Cannabis growing medium.

Poor Quality
I enjoy using coconut fiber (coir) for planting, but this particular brand has been nothing but a frustration. Typically, coir expands and breaks up easily when water is added, but this stuff requires a lot of effort to get it to break up and it doesn't seem to have the water-retention abilities of other coir brands I have used. Other coir brands feel spongy when wet, but this stuff just feels soggy. I don't know what this stuff is, but it does not have the properties that make coir such an ideal growing medium. I recommend avoiding this brand.

coco fiber
Like the produce as it is renewable. Great for mixing in our worm bins and potting. Thought the bricks were a larger size like what we had bought before in local haredware store but due to the season were unavailabel.

Worked well for peppers
I started some hot peppers from seed and was told to use something like this since the pH is more neutral than some starter medium out there. Seems like they did just fine with it all and they wound up being healthy plants.

Helpful for clay soil
This is the first time I've used coco fiber. I needed something to help with a heavy clay based soil. This seems to work just fine.
