I have a bit of a story but it’s worth it. Dryer heating element went after like 12 years on a Maytag. Ordered this, had immediate smoke. Turns out those extra pieces that come with it aren’t the best, but the heating element itself was fine. Read reviews that said side pieces can start fire. Lasted like 6 months. Ordered again. 4 months. Ordered again. 4 months. Reviews said to just buy the manufacturer piece. Did that. 2 days it lasted!!!! And no answer on refund! Screw the manufacturer. This worked great and got us through until I gave in and bought a new dryer. So I highly recommend this piece over manufacturer any day.

Working like it should. Now I cannot say it is going to last forever, but it is going strong for now. For this price if it last a year (or more) I'll be happy that I don't have to buy a new dryer.

This is the second time in less than 3 months that I had to order this. Easy to put together, and great that it comes complete with everything needed, but not built to withstand the high heat from the dryer. Other reviews have shown pictures of it being so overheated that it has set on fire. I make sure to only dry when I'm home, and never leave it unattended just in case. The coils snap in half, and need to be replaced often. I've had my dryer almost 10 years, but just recently needed to work on it. Make this product more durable, and it would be 5 stars easily.

Edit: I was given a full refund for the faulty part which I greatly appreciate. The seller seems to be very active and responsive plus easy to work with. I still feel hesitant to give it anything more than 3 stars due to the issues I had but the seller seems great! Poor quality, lasted 4 months. Multiple ceramic supports broke due to the heat and the heating element wire snapped off in 3 different places.

Quick delivery and the product was correct and came with everything needed to install. That's the good. The bad is I installed this on April 11th and just finished replacing it again. It lasted a month and a half. Save your time and money on this one. Spend a little more and get one at your local appliance store.
