Flexible multi-functional charger
Easy to use. Each battery slot works independently and can automatically detect battery type. So it can work with different types and sizes of batteries with different currents in different modes simultaneously. There are six function buttons. Each of the “1234” buttons is used to select the relevant slot. The MODE button is used to switch between CHARGE, FAST TEST, and NOR TEST modes. And the CURRENT button is for choosing current from 300mA, 500mA, 700mA, and 1000mA. The readouts on the screen are well organized and easy to read. Once you put a battery into a slot, the slot will be selected automatically. In 8 seconds, you can change the mode or current if you want. All of your settings will be locked after 8 seconds, and the charger will take care of the rest. If you want to change the settings, you need to press the MODE for 3 second to reset. Here is how the three modes work. - CHARGE mode - It will automatically enter the charge mode once you put in a battery. You can select another charging current by pressing the CURRENT button, or choose a different mode by pressing the MODE button. A steady End icon will appear in the lower left of the screen when fully charged. - FAST TEST mode - Discharge → Recharge. Like some other intelligent chargers, it measures the battery capacity during charging process. The measured capacity will be a charge capacity which is higher than the real capacity as “it always takes more to charge a battery”. The steady End icon will appear when the test is finished. - NOR TEST mode - Recharge → Discharge → Recharge. It measures the battery capacity during discharging process. The measured capacity will be a discharge capacity which is considered to be the actual capacity. A flashing End icon will appear when the discharge process is finished, and the capacity will stop increasing and stay. The End icon will stop flashing once the whole test is done, but the capacity will remain the same. So if you just want to check the real capacity but don’t want to get it fully charged, you can take out the battery once the discharge process is done, to save time. It also supports usb output with li-ion batteries when power supply is disconnected. A usb connection icon will show on the screen when this feature is activated In conclusion, it’s a good charger to have at this price. I like the the way it checks the battery capacity. I wish it would support more types of batteries with more voltages and also display the battery type on the screen in a later version of the product.

Versatile accurate charge
I really like this charger, hands down winner. I have tested so many different charger, this one got them all. It charges and discharge to measure true mAH and resistance. It even comes with a NOR mode which not too many vendor implements it, not even in later series. This product does run a little warm inside a 90 degree garage thanks to its temperature protection mode you don't have to worry about starting a fire. When installing in backward polarity, it automatically blocks you from using the product which is a very smart feature. The spring action is a bit strong so be careful when using or you'll see your battery comes flying. And it actually charges 1000mAh per channel, not split up like other cheap charger. This thing is quite big and heavy too comparing to cheaper charger so you know you're getting good value. USB output might be useful for some people but I didn't care too much for it. $30 is pricey but for what its worth, this is truly an excellent value. I only wish the vendor makes an 8 channels version of this unit. I don't like their newer models at all, they don't do fast and NOR test like this one.

Nice charger for 18650 cells and very good customer service!
I purchased two of these battery chargers for testing 18650 lithium ion batteries recycled from laptops. The units operate as advertised with the exception of one device did not Change charge currents on slots three and four. I contacted the manufacture through Amazon and within one business day Lan had contacted me for more information and prepared a new charger to be shipped directly to me. Great customer service, a nice small charger that works very well, and performs as expected. I found the NOR test preformed the discharge capacity test fairly accurately. Unlike other reviewer's I will leave this is operating appropriately and for the money is a very good buy.

RESEARCH THEN PURCHASE. Love it!
If you just want a battery charger that simply recharges all kinds of different size NiCd and lithium batteries then get a NITECORE. It’s a decent charger and not complicated. BUT if you want to know the mah capacity then definitely get this one. DONT believe everything that the bad reviews are saying. Most complaints, seems to me, are because they do not understand how to operate it, which may not be entirely their fault. The manual that comes with it is in Chinese and broken English....so you need to go to YouTube like I did and watch several different videos about it and read the comments of each video as well. Some comments come from people that own this charger and they give very useful info also, sometimes even better more reliable info than the video itself. I’m glad I did the research and bought this charger because it really does give you the actual capacity of a battery which is exactly why I wanted it and yes it can do it on more than one battery at a time. I did it on two lithium 26650’s at the same time. You simply put one in first and press the MODE button until you see NOR TEST and then push the CURRENT button until you see 1000 mah ( per a video I saw, the reason you want to select 1000 mah is because you want to push that battery as much as possible to get an accurate capacity reading... like it would if you were using it in a high power flashlight on its highest brightness setting) Then put in a second battery and repeat the process. You won’t disrupt the first battery’s test by doing this. You just press the corresponding battery slot button (1 2 3 or 4) to see the current status. I do wish it could handle more different sizes which is why I don’t give it five stars and also because of the poorly written manual for us English speaking folk.

Best for entry into advancd battery charging / reconditioning / etc.! Love it!
I've had this charger for about a year and use it daily. It also discharges and tests the rechargeable batteries too. I mostly use it with AA, AAA, and 18650 rechargeable batteries. The great thing I like about this is that you can change the charging rate of the cells, by slot, and check their capacity to see if the cells degrade and by how much. It really works well, and I recommend it to people all the time!

Works great.
I have had it for 2 years now. I have not had to use it very many times yet but it still works great. I use it primarily to charge NiMH AA and AAA batteries. I like the ability to set the charge current and that it shows how many mAh I am getting out of them. It was about the best price I found for a charger with these features. It just doesn't do 9v or D cell batteries. It would have been nice if it had slightly wider spacing for D cells. I bought some D cells for our tankless on demand water heater and had to buy the ABL charger (which is not as feature rich) for them. It doesn't hurt to have an extra charger though.

the standard, oldy but goody
This is the standard by which all 18650 chargers are compared against. It is by far the best 18650/AAA/AA charger because it provides so much information at once. You can fit 21700, but maximum only 2 at a time due to the bays being somewhat small. The fit is tight, but the remaining bays can fit two 18650. If you're looking for something that performs as good as the Lii-500 AND charges 21700, you're probably better off buying the vapcell s4 plus .

work great, used weekly
bought 2 LiitoKala Lii-500 Battery Chargers in 2018 (lasted 5 years) one just died so I bought a new one the other one works same as brand new they charge in 3 to 5 hours I use them weekly saves tons on batteries I use amazon batteries Amazon Basics 16-Pack Rechargeable AA NiMH Batteries, 2000 mAh, Recharge up to 1000x Times, Pre-Charged and Amazon Basics 12-Pack AAA Performance 800 mAh Rechargeable Batteries, Pre-Charged, Recharge up to 1000x with plastic holders (safer storage) Tenergy 30 Pack Plastic Storage Case for AA/AAA Batteries (Batteries Sold Separately) NOTE: generally safer NiMH batteries dont catch on fire as easy as lithium batteries
