Works pretty well.
I have a hobby lathe and mill in my home shop. Most of my lathe work is done dry or with a little cutting oil. Occasionally flood coolant. For high RPM stuff the mist is nice to have (flood coolants and oil gets flung off at high RPM, making a big mess). My mill is what I really wanted the mist coolant for. Its not set up for flood coolant and brushing on oil for long milling passes can be a huge pain. I've used mist systems in the past on milling machines with excellent results. This kit comes with 2 mist cooling assemblies. Trying to mount them took a bit of ingenuity since I'm always moving things around. Mounting it to the milling head is ideal because you always need coolant around the spindle. For now I just screwed a big magnet to one of the misters and stuck it in place. Hooking up the air is very simple if you have some of the correct tubing on hand (8mm or 5/16 OD). There's a vinyl tube that goes into your bottle of coolant, and that tube is fairly stiff with a lot of memory. You may want to attach a small weight to it so the pickup stays submerged. Once connected its pretty easy to modulate the air and coolant flows. I like how the air valve takes several full turns to go from off to full. This makes adjustments less finicky. The tip of the nozzle adjusts how much coolant comes out. The build quality of these is fair. They're definitely not high-end pieces of equipment but they are satisfactory for the home shop. So far I'm happy with the function of these mist coolers.
