5 years later. These changed our lives. Thank god I got this!!!
Review written 5 years after purchase: My family has had a massive roach infestation for 20+ years, my parents are hoarders and that made it very difficult to get rid of them over that time period. We tried bug bombs and store bought baits, over and over, they'd reduce the population but they'd always shortly recover. About 5 years ago it got especially bad again so I looked up truly effective methods of roach baits, I ended up calling a former exterminator across the country from his YouTube video, and he said order Advion. So I ordered this bag of 60 baits. I placed 30 of them out throughout the house, the roaches reacted like I'd never seen before, fighting each other to access the bait even if we were shining a flashlight on them!!! 24 hours later EVERY SINGLE BAIT I PUT OUT WAS EMPTY, so I put out the other 30. 24 hours later those were ALMOST completely empty, and we started seeing bugs all over the floor. Another day or 2 and those were empty too. So I ordered another bag, and they more slowly went through those baits too. Now 5 years later they have never returned. It literally changed our lives. Now if only there was a quick solution to fix my parents hoarding... If you have an insane infestation, do yourself a favor and BUY THIS.

The 5 star reviews ARE true!
Roach Control Advion Roach Bait Stations 60 stations 765166 I have lived in my NYC apartment for many years and encountered a stray roach here and there, which is the downside of a dense living environment. The problem always goes away, no pun intended. However, this time the problem grew quickly and geometrically, and I find myself with a population of them in the kitchen. I don't even cook! I have pets so I tried the non-toxic solutions to no avail. The situation was worsening. Desperate, I was to the point of sealing off the area and contemplating gas bombing the kitchen as a last resort. Then, I saw this product and was seriously skeptical of its efficacy but purchased this to try. I used plastic gloves to lay down the traps, which look like Combat, because there is a clear warning on the bag that the item is toxic. In less than 1 minute, the roaches were emerging and gorging on the bait. I could not believe it. Holy crap! This WORKS! I am on Day 3 and it is like Armageddon occurred. There are dead roaches everywhere. Please note that on the second day a lot of roaches will emerge, which makes you think the bait is not working. It is totally working because they are emerging from their hiding places. I am going to put some bait on the top of kitchen cabinets, on the counters, inside the kitchen cabinets, and stick them on the wall with double-stick tape because I noticed that the roaches travel across all surfaces at all angles. Don't forget the bathroom because they will seek water. Also, I am using food grade diatomaceous earth to dry the roaches out. I just purchased the gel tube version and will share my results with you. With this product, I feel very confident that I will eradicate this problem-- not just control it. Thank you, thank you, thank you Advion for creating such a great product. I am sharing this experience with everyone I know.

Amazing Product!
I cannot say enough good things about this product. I have never seen a product work as effective as this one or as fast. We did not have any bugs in our home at all but my husband and I had to go stay with my mother who had cancer and dementia. I lived in another city and was a only child and did not realize how bad she was, She was once a very clean person and kept her home spotless and I was shocked when I saw her home. She had not been able to take care of it and she had developed a bad case of water bugs. To make a long story short she passed away and we had to clean her home out and sell it. I was reluctant to keep anything and bring them home because I figured we would get them but there were things I did want to keep so I thought I would chance it. We ended up with a bad case ourselves. I took to the internet to find a solution and I came across this product. It had great reviews so I thought I would try it and I could not believe how well this product worked and as quick. My husband set these out and within a day or so there were dead or dying bugs all over the kitchen floor. I would sweep several times a day. After a couple weeks we did not see anymore and it has now been a month or so and not one bug have we seen. I still leave these out just in case but I am just amazed by this product. If you have a issue with bugs you cannot go wrong with this item.

Older version worked well. This latest version not so good.
I have used this before, and it quickly resolved my insect problem, but this recent bag that I purchased isn’t as effective.

HIGHLY recommend Advion!
I had a HORRIBLE German roach problem that even the exterminators couldn't completely cure. I was on a contract and I had the exterminators out 3X for the roaches & they finally told me unless I cleaned out ALL the cabinets AND my walk-in pantry they couldn't guarantee results. In desperation I started searching for other things I could do and came across Advion here on Amazon with a high rating. I read the reviews and ordered the 60 ct poison stations and the 4-pack of poison paste. There is NO odor. The stations' poison is COMPLETELY enclosed except for tiny holes to admit the roaches so no problem of pets or kids getting into it. I could even put one in the back of my silverware drawer & not worry about contamination with our eating utensils. It took me about an hour to do the entire kitchen, pantry (6' x 5'), and utility room area. That morning I had seen at least 30 roaches scuttling for cover when I first turned on the lights. The very next morning, after putting out the Advion, I saw maybe 10. 48 hours later, I saw 2-3. It's been about a month now, and while the roaches will NEVER be all gone, their numbers have SIGNIFICANTLY decreased. If I start seeing an increase, I just squeeze the paste around the drawers/cabinets again and the roaches are GONE. You only need about 1.5" strips of paste a few places on each drawer or in the cabinets to do the job. Yeah, Advion is more expensive that baits you find at Walmart, but WELL worth it. It does the JOB!

This really works!
I'm subletting an apartment in NYC, I was told I might see a bug every once in a while, but "every once in a while" and "a bug" turned out to be everyday and four to five roaches. Needless to say, I was very disappointed/freaked out. This is also my first time encountering brown banded roaches--I previously lived in SoCal and Texas where waterbugs are more common. In addition to the brown banded, I did see one or two German cockroaches at one point, at which point I decided to wage the most aggressive and swift war on these pests as possible. I bought the black jack roach stations and borax powder first because that's what was available at the supermarket--I'm guessing only the german roaches went for those stations because the brown banded ones completely ignored it, but for some reason were emboldened enough to come out during the day as well as at night. I literally started throwing borax at them to make sure they got into it. Although I know it takes time, I wanted something swifter. So, I went online and found Advion, which arrived yesterday. Put them out last night and also sprayed some Raid home defense in all the cracks and windows and doorways to try to stop anymore from entering. I only saw three roaches today, beelined for a bait arena, the other I squished...mind you I was seeing four or more during the day, scurrying on the counters, around the refrigerator (I even saw one INSIDE the fridge, yuck!!) and emerging from the oven if I turned on an eye. I also just went into the kitchen this evening, when normally I'd see the most activity, turned on the lights and saw none. I know I could be jumping the gun since it has only been a day, but I'd say Advion, plus the borax and maybe the home defense (I say maybe because when I put the Advion arenas out, the roaches walked right through where I had just sprayed to get to the bait) definitely works. Also I bought Gentrol IGRs to, hopefully, put the final nail in the coffin. I would highly recommend these arenas plus borax if you're battling roaches!

Disappointed to say the least.
I have been really disappointed by this product. I was really hoping it would work. I even got two different batches of it from different places just to see if maybe I got a bad batch on Amazon. It doesn’t kill all types of cockroaches, even some of the ones listed on the label. It seems to work fine the first few days then it dries up hard like stone and the roaches don’t pay attention to it. I took out the old ones, set new ones. But for whatever reason it dries up. I live in Florida which weather is unpredictable, but these were placed inside the house which is always set to a certain temperature, there’s humidity control, etc. I would say if you have the opportunity to hire a professional do it. I have spent more money on these “Do It Yourself” things that if I had hired someone from the get go. I was trying to avoid having to schedule someone to come into my home because of work hours. I also didn’t want the harsh smells, or someone coming in during Covid. Now, after a lot of tries, I will just have to give up on DIY and hire a professional. Just shop around for the best price, Covid conscious companies, and extended hours of service if you need it.
