Genuine Product, Quality Materials, Tricky Sizing.
Was a little weary about ordering these because the logo was a different than any of their products I had seen in reviews, and some of the product images even had the logo blocked out for some reason. A quick google search confirmed that Top Kong updated their logo, but I’m not sure why they decided to hide the logo in some colors. But rest assured, these are a genuine Top King product. I saw a lot of mixed advice on sizing throughout the internet and I usually take the chart they use with a grain of salt, and since I’m short (5’6-5’7ish) and THICC (185lbs) especially in my lower half, I was caught in between the medium and the large. I decided to just order both and here’s what I found: The mediums (black) fit perfectly for my height and sit right under my knee. They feel great to move around in, but the strap around my calf was almost too short. The ankle was good though. The large (black/white) on the other hand felt almost like I was playing catcher for a baseball team. They covered almost the entire knee and felt super cumbersome and awkward, and came up a tad too high to where they dug into the back of my knee. Although the strap was the perfect length across my calf and the “TKB” logo was directly in the center. Ended up snagging the mediums and haven’t looked back. They fit and look like I feel they were supposed to, and mobility is flawless. In a perfect world, I would have the mediums with the strap length of the large, because you can tell the longer strap felt a bit more secure, but it’s nothing I can’t live with. Encourage you to try both if you’re stuck between two sizes to erase any “what ifs” you might have. 10/10 product with a sort of sketchy product images and tricky sizing, but definitely recommend! Hope that helps anyone who has similar questions that I did! *Apologies for the crusty mirror pictures.

Excellent Shin Guards
Top King makes the best shin guards. Narrow and stay put when sparring. The padding is firm and will save your shins. Give them a wipe down after class and let them dry and they will last a long time.

Very well made
I've had many shinguards in the past 10 years and these are a good well made set. Comfortable and protects really nice. I'd buy again.

Amazing Shin Guards
I sparred once with this shin guards once and already love them. I needed a replacement for my RingtoCage pair that just wore out after several years. Those just did the job but these Top King shin guards look amazing and seem to be very high quality! There is extra padding that goes along with the design of this particular model. Very detailed! I'm assuming that's why it's a $10 premium over the standard colors. As others have pointed out, the elastic bands at the bottom are a very snug fit and hard to get on at first, but I did not experience any discomfort when working with them or sparring. I think you should allow time for this and the guard itself to break-in. IMO I think it's better to start out snug like this and loosen over time than loose/comfortable and unusable shortly after. BTW, I'm 5' 6" and have a fairly muscular lower body. I got a size medium and they fit well. Love these shin guards and they're an easy recommendation!!

Great Fit, Premium Quality
You get what you pay for. In this case thats a very good thing. The quality is great, they are lightweight but provide a ton of padding. The straps aren't too short or too long and the velcro is very strong. The colors offered are also very nice and the shin pads fit with the natural contour of my leg. Very comfortable and a great purchase.

I’m happy with these
I’ve had these for about 10 months and use them about 4 times a week on average. I’m pretty happy with them. When I’m wearing them, I don’t really notice or think about them, which is what you want. They fit pretty well and stay in place better than some shin guards when you check kicks or get tangled up. Protection is pretty good - you can sometimes feel impact if the other person isn’t wearing pads and it’s direct shin-on-shin contact, but it doesn’t really bruise or anything. The one thing I’d say to watch out for is that when I first got them, they were pretty stiff and the inside was sharply angled so they didn’t fit super well….it took a few months of use before they really started to mold to my shins. But they were fine to use during this time, other than that they twisted or moved on impact a bit more often than they do now. If you buy these and aren’t happy with the fit at first, I’d recommend just sticking with it - these things are very durable and feel like they’ll last a while.

Impressive pads
Being using these for the last 6 months and they are holding up Amazing. I'm 6'1 175 lb size 11 foot. I'd say my legs are a bit more skinny than average. The medium we're a bit too short on the shin bone and a bit difficult to fit my foot through the elastic bands. The large fits nicely on the shin and the foot but is just enough velcro on the straps to hold in place on my skinny legs.

Not perfect
They don't stay in place, no matter how hard you tie them, especially the insteap is all over the place while sparring. I have large calves but still it doesn't work perfect. Also there's a gap between insteap and shin, so I'm constantly hitting elbows with it. Very annoying. I wish they had XXL size as even XL is not long enough.
