No it isn't renter friendly, yes it does peel off the wall, its a thin contact paper. don't waste your money. Not for walls.

I put mine in my closet so it’s not noticeable But I did the best I could.

Q: Repeat of pattern in inches and some photos make the pattern look small and others very large, which is it?

Not sure of the actual 'inches' of each repeat pattern but this was very easy to match up. Key is to not press too firmly until you've completely aligned the wallpaper to the wallpaper already adhered to the wall. I didn't waste any and LOVED the final look.
