It appears that you are looking at individual glasses. We bought 8 individually (exactly what you are looking at) because it was less cost. Originally we bought them in a set. Buying replacements we bought them individually.

Is the price actually 16.00 for one single glass? It would appear that you can get a set of 4 with lids for slightly less.

Yes. Crazy. I thought there were more for some reason. But I took a chance because at the time I couldn't find them anywhere else.

I don't exactly what item selection you are looking at other than the Luminarc 14 ounce working glass. When I purchased mine I got one (1). I looked around when I was shopping and noticed you could purchase set of 4. I purchased just one.
