I still didn’t finish the book either the index. But it’s ok and arrived in a very good condition.

This is a wonderful index (works with The Vedas: The Samhitas of the Rig, Yajur, Sama, and Atharva [single volume, unabridged]). It provides definitions of the major Sanskrit words used in the Vedas and will be very helpful to students of Indian religion and spirituality.

It helps more like a dictionary

The fonts are too small and crowded. Difficult to read.

This is a usable Glossery for the The Vedas Companion book that it goes with. Should be sold as a set. As a Dictionary not useless but defiantly not comprehensive enough to help me with my writing and studies. In fact I have an old little paperback Sai Baba Dictionary of transliteration with English definitions I still use over larger ones or my PDF/book ones. Although those transliterations are not standard as much as phonetic. So if You buy "The Vedas" get this as your Glossary. If You you get this by itself you will likely be disappointed.

It's a small dictionary of Vedic terms which haven' t been defined in the main edition of the Vedas. It's not a collection of the hymns. In fact there is not even a stanza from any of the Vedas. Though it can be helpful in understanding the meaning of the exclusive and uncommon words used in the Vedas.

Terribly useless book; I was mislead by the cover. Wasted my money
