Replaced an old one from different vendor. Perfect size for small to medium size dogs. Good grip handle and easy to use. For anyone with a dog who gets even minimal knotting around the harness area it’s great. We use it first then go through with a comb. It removes all the knots or matting easily. Comfortable for the pet as well. Would definitely recommend.

The de matting comb is PERFECT for my little Yorkie that has baby fine hair ! Easily removes the mats close to her skin on her legs & head. Love this product

Absolutely MUST HAVE ! The only comb I use for my doodle . Gets thru knots and doesn’t hurt him!

Works great for big matted spots, but if theres a spot thats small and just starting to get tangled, this comb is too big. So if you're trying to prevent big matted areas from starting, this isnt the best option. If you have a big dog who gets big mats or already has big mats, this is a great comb. Slices through the big matted areas very easily.

The best. We have 4 golden retrievers, they are constantly swimming in the pond, and it creates a little dreadlocks if we don’t catch it in time! This will definitely help us cut down on grooming expenses when we can do a lot of of the de-shedding ourselves!!

Works perfectly for de-matting my miniature poodle. My dog usually hates to be brushed, but this tool makes it easy to find the knots to remove. It also has an ergonomic grip which is nice, because my hands tend to cramp.

Works great on our Bernadoodle. She actually looks forward to her daily combing. Gets the tangles out without a lot of pulling. Really like the size of this comb. I have ttied several other ones and this works the bestg

For context I have a 50lb goldendoodle that is 75% poodle. Her hair is very curly like a poodles. I brush her out regularly because I like to keep her coat long. This requires using a slicker to line brush and metal comb to verify no tangles. If there are any tangles, a dematting tool like this is effective at breaking thru. My complaints with this tool, is that the teeth are not on very tight. They shift around and it results in a jagged alignment of the teeth rather than the nice smooth side. This is generally not great for a dematting tool, because they tend to be very sharp on the serrated side (for getting thru the mats). However, on this tool, the serrated side is a VERY dull blade. I am not sure such a dull blade will be that great for getting out tough mats. It's fine for me and my dog, because I brush her out regularly and she never has tough mats to deal with. Typically I only see small mats that form in the problematic areas and this comb is able to get those out effectively. So TLDR - this is a decent de matting comb for small mats and good if you're already regularly grooming the dog. Also, the dull blade makes risk of accidentally cutting your dog minimal to none. BUT, if you have a tightly matted dog due to neglect and expect this tool to be great for those, I think you'd be disappointed.

Suitable only for mild tangles in the fur of your pet. In case the fur has dense tangles or is completely matted, the best and only option is to trim the hair short going gently and carefully under the matting !

I have 2 cavapoos and 1 of them has straight up poodle fur which gets matted easily and I end up having to shave out the matts. The other ones fur is a mix but it works just as well and is amazing for his tail too which usually he hates having brushed. I figured I would give this a go and I'm definitely not disappointed. It was really easy to break up the matts and pain-free for my pups too. The design is great with the thumb hold it makes it a lot more comfortable to use and because the ends of the brush are rounded i dont worry about it accidentally hurting my boys. I even ended up buying 1 for my mum as she also has 2 cavapoos and she said its amazing the difference she sees from just using a regular brush to this. I do recommend getting a good brush as well though, because while this breaks the matts and knots up, its a lot easier to get rid of the residue by using a brush after breaking them up rather than doing it by hand. Without a doubt a well deserved 5 star.
