Wonderful!
When you unbox this monitor it's clear immediately that this is a well built, solidly constructed item, much heavier than an equivalently sized TV, and with a solid metal stand. There is a small white LED "on" light just below the LG logo at the centre of the bottom bezel, and the bezel at the bottom is slightly thicker than the other three sides which improves the overall appearance. One nice touch is that the LED light can be turned off in the menus. On the bottom edge of the bottom bezel is the joystick control used to navigate the menu system and configure the monitor - I found that to be easy to use.Picture quality is excellent. I bought this to use as a second monitor for my Retina MacBook Pro (2015), and use it mostly for Adobe Lightroom. You should be aware that running any 4k monitor at the full native resolution of 3840 x 2160 will give you menu bars and other interface elements that are so small you'll need to sit with your face about a foot from the screen to comfortably read text. The other scaled screen resolutions offered in the macOS Displays system preference are1920 x 10802560 x 14403008 x 16923360 x 1890Of these only the first two work really well, the others are somewhat fuzzy due to the math involved in scaling. I mostly use the monitor at the 2560 x 1440 resolution which provides a big increase over the 1680 x 1050 of my 13" MacBook display, with the occasional foray into full native resolution. To run this monitor at the higher resolutions at 60Hz with a MacBook Pro you will need to separately purchase a mini-Display Port to Display Port cable. The monitor came with Display Port to Display Port cable, and an HDMI cable, but the HDMI option will not work at higher resolutions than 1920 unless the refresh rate is dropped to 30Hz which produced noticable flicker of anything moving across the screen. Finally please note that this monitor does not have built-in speakers. It does have a 3.5mm audio out jack so you can plug in headphones or external speakers, but you will get no sound otherwise if your Sound system prefs are set to output to the monitor.I love working in Lightroom on this monitor, images look stunning, colours are vibrant but accurate, blacks are very black. A great screen.

Was the Cheapest 4k 27" when I bought it. (1ish year update)
8/13/18 Update:I've had this monitor for almost a year. I can't really complain. I do wish it was brighter, as in it would match the brightness of my 27" iMac, but it's really difficult to find monitors that can match an iMac's brightness unless you spend some serious coin. I haven't had any issues with it. I run it and the iMac at 3200 x 1800. Mainly because the iMac's next resolution is 5k. And the iMac at 5k? Not for normal stuff. Impossible to read text. At 4k, I find the LG kinda hard to use. It looks just fine, but text is a little too small and it's extremely difficult to set MacOS system fonts to be bigger reliably (yes there is a hack, but it's a hack). Plus, then it doesn't match the iMac in resolution. If they both had a 4k setting I'd probably use it that way and just get used to the smaller text and use somm when necessary. I kind of already do that with Safari and other apps that let me adjust zoom or font size. Anyway, colors are close enough and there hasn't been any change in performance.--------------------------------------------------------------------------For the price, you can't beat it. Without getting a good quality calibrator this is "close enough" for my 5k iMac. And even then, it won't be able to match that. Besides the iMac being brighter anyway, it's a higher resolution. But it does the job. Had some kind of particle in the monitor on the first one I got and got a replacement with no hassle. The price has gone up about $20 since I bought it and an almost identical model to this one with a lot more reviews is now cheaper. I suspect the two models are basically the same so whichever one is cheaper, you can go with that one.

amazing 4k monitor for gaming if you have the money to spare
for the money, it is an excellent monitor with great picture quality at 60hz. if you are wondering, yes, i am using this monitor for gaming. so far it has been great, the only thing i have noticed is that i do have one tiny pixel burnt out on the monitor, but with it being so large i hardly notice it. no one would notice it unless they were told of its existence. but with this being such an expensive item i do request you follow in my footsteps and get the square trade protection plan just in case. if for some reason the monitor begins to lose other pixels in a year or so i will be able to send it back for a replacement. the only reason i am giving it 4/5 is because of the one small pixel being burnt out.

Good C/P value monitor
I like this monitor, if it is rotatable would be better. In general, the color, and the anti-glare is big plus. For this price, I think It is great for me.

Not acceptable for office use
This monitor is not future proof and requires restarts often when unplugging a laptop back in

Good 4k monitor
Good 4k monitor. Mainly use it for production so I can't comment on gaming performance. It is really picky about what DP cable you use, ended up having to use the one provided in the box to get 4k working.

Was missing parts. New Mac Book Pros have a really hard time with these. You constantly have to plug/unplug them to make the Mac Book Pro recognize the monitor exists.

Solid 4k monitor for a great price ( Plus Freesync!)
I've had this monitor for a while now, and I love it. I use it on my main desktop, where I do a lot of movie watching (4k) and playing games at both 1440p and 4k (depending on the game and how much power it needs). The monitor looks great, is very sharp, and seems to have good build quality. I put it on a $40 swivel arm mount and it's Perfect for me! Sure, there are better 4k monitors, but this is an amazing price-to-performance value I think.I will add that, as of 1/15/19, Nvidia has released a new Video card driver that will allow you to use the FreeSync tech in this monitor with your Nvidia Graphics card (as long as its a 10 or 20-series Geforce card). I enabled it and I can see a smoothness improvement in my games, so that is an extra "bonus" that it just recently gained! The monitor is not one of the few that Nvidia has approved, but I can attest that it DOES work.

monitor perfecto, gran precio
The colors are great, the picture is really beautiful. I'm very picky when it comes to monitors. After using an Apple Thunderbolt display for several years, I wanted a 4K monitor to use with my MacBook. I'm really happy with the results. I use a USB-C to DisplayPort cable. I have the monitor setup to do pixel-doubling so it's scaled to 1080 but retina, I really notice the difference over the old Apple display. The only downside is that at full pixel-doubling, there is not a lot of screen real estate - a 5K monitor would probably be better for me. But overall it was a good purchase.
