Great handguards at a great price
I purchased these handguards for my son's CRF125F, as he had broken a few clutch levers when dropping the bike. He and I installed these guards with no problems. Overall they look great, and definitely a few dollars cheaper than the name brand. Rocky Mountain is a great company with fast shipping, and their Tusk products have always been high quality.

Fits KLR 650
Fits KLR 650 after swapping OEM throttle housing for aftermarket with an open end.Otherwise, fits perfectly with some minor cable routing. Really sturdy and is taking a beating. Be careful with the bar end mount bolts

Not an EZ fit
The parts don't come with the proper bends to just bolt on. You have to really work them to MAKE them fit. Install the handle bar ends first leaving them somewhat loose, and work your way in. The clamps will not line up with the guard bars straight so you will have to catch the threads and force then to draw in. Then slowly work a little at a time tightening your way around the assembly. Once there on they seem okay, but it's not a easy fit.

Amazing product
For the money these are hard to beat, clutch cable side of the klr is a bit of a pain to install. but the rest of it is super easy!

Save your hands when offroad
Mounted these on a Yamaha YZ450F that I use for trail riding. 1st time out, they paid for themselves and prevented some broken fingers. It's good to have something between the trees and your hands.

Clamps not adjustable at all, makes it a huge pain
These hand guards are made of high quality materials but the external handlebar clamps offer no adjustability and it makes it very hard to angle the hand guards down at all. I'm comparing these to cheap no-name hand guards and also nice Acerbis hand guards that allow a lot more angle adjustment. The problem is much worse if you cut your handlebars down narrower for trail use which many people do. Cutting my protaper bars down to KLX140RF stock width makes it almost impossible to mount these guards because of the lack of adjustment. The internal clamps just barely fit and hit a small ridge on the inside of the 7/8" bars making them impossible to use without a lot of modification to the internal clamps and I had to drill out the bars. (see pics, took hours to file the internal clamp) These are the correct size clamps for 7/8" bars, there's just no wiggle room at all.A 20 minute job turned into several hours, part of the problem was the bars, but most of the issues were because design of external clamps and shape of had guards. I've installed plenty of hand guards, it's usually pretty straightforward and quick if the clamps have at least SOME adjustment. Even after all that work the Tusk D-Flex guards try to stick way up and actually start to bend my bars when tightening clamps if adjusted anywhere close to level with ground. I got them to work but it was a time consuming pain. I'll never buy or recommend these to anyone unless you have very wide bars that are already known to work perfectly with these hand guards.I may cut my losses and buy another brand because I had to angle my entire handlebar forward just so they don't stick straight up in the air. Terrible clamping design. -BWX
