Works great in Spain, compact for travel and has USB ports...I highly recommend this
I purchased this "FOVAL Power Step Down 220V to 110V Travel Voltage Converter International Power Adapter" for my trip to Spain. I had to Google which type of adapter/converter I needed since each country uses different outlets, and getting the wrong one can cause you problems and damage your electronics. We used the two round pins plug for Spain. It worked great! My husband and I were able to charge our cell phones using the USB ports simultaneously while in the hotel. My husband used it for his CPAP and I used my flat iron as well with no problems. (Towards the bottom of the Amazon description, it says NOT to use a "hair dryer" but it does say you can use a curling wand and hair straightener. I thought I should mention that in case you don't read the entire description when purchasing this item and you intend to take a hair dryer.) It is compact so it fit nicely in my luggage. I highly recommend this product.

Two years continuous use in Africa - a review
I picked up one of these converter/adapters for a two year stint in West Africa, with a couple of trips to Europe mixed in. I'm just wrapping up year two, and here's where we stand: I have not had a single issue charging my small electronics via the USB ports, and I run low wattage items through the plugs, like my bedside diffuser. I like that they can be powered on and off easily, and the multiple adapter plugs make them usable just about everywhere in the world. They're small and quiet, with a noticeable white noise hum that I got used to very quickly and only notice when I turn the device off. I don't mind the cord length - I actually appreciate being able to move the converter away from the wall. It's a really nice design, easy to pack and store. My two Foval converters have handled brownouts, power spikes, sudden surges and blackouts without breaking or damaging the items plugged into them. The only time I lost one was when the voltage regulator went out and my whole apartment started getting unfiltered electricity at spikes of over 300 v (in case you're wondering - that did blow out just about every light bulb in the place, as well as all the 220v appliances that were plugged in). I replaced the slightly smoky Foval and haven't had a complaint since! These are not made for high voltage items, which is very clearly labeled on the device. Read what you're plugging into the converter before you plug it in and you'll be fine. I have larger transformers for my high-voltage devices. If you absolutely must have your ionic hair dryer, you're better off investing in a power converter especially designed to handle that kind of pull. As far as travel converters go, I am a big fan of this one.

Works great with "problem" appliances!
I love this converter. It worked amazingly well on our trip to Iceland and Denmark, and we used it to charge electric toothbrushes and a compact hair iron in addition to our phones. I was really worried, having read other reviews and articles, that the converter would overheat or otherwise cause problems with electric toothbrushes and heating tools, but this one had zero issues and our appliances all worked great. We didn't have to use any of the adapters because it uses the most common European plug by default, but they all look easy to use. I gave this as a gift, too, and the recipient used it successfully in Greece and Kenya. And finally, it fits nicely in its carry bag and doesn't take up a ton of space. Really excited to have this for further international travel!

Worked great for our Italy trip
I was a little hesitant to buy based on some of the reviews, but we were going to Italy for 12 days and wife wanted to bring curling iron and some other things where converter was needed. We just got back and I have to say that we were really pleased with this. Worked great. And having the mulitple USB ports was really a plus. We could charge multiple devices at once. Granted our trip was a short trial period but we were really glad we bought this. There was one point where I thought it stopped working--turned out there was a switch in the room that killed power to the outlet we were using. Once we figured that out, we were back in business.

Worked well in Europe for hair curler
I needed this in order to use my travel hair curler in Europe. I haven’t found a European or Asian version of this curler, and unless I want to have bad hair the entire time traveling, I needed this converter. I traveled for 2 weeks in Europe and it worked very well. Worth the space in my very edited carry on.

Does not work in Australia or in New Zealand.
This does not work in Australia or in New Zealand. I found out this until I was already on my trip and had to carry it around the whole time I was there and was not able to use it. And had to buy one over there to use while I was there. By the time I came back from my trip it was too late to return it. These are the outlets used in Australia and in New Zealand and none of the adapters fit these. Very disappointed that I can’t return it. False advertising.

Travel Made Easy with This Handy Voltage Converter!
Recently, I ventured on an international trip and the Power Step Down 220V to 110V Voltage Converter was my saving grace! The device is compact and surprisingly lightweight, considering its robust functionality, which made it an easy addition to my luggage without worrying about weight constraints. What impressed me most was its ease of use. The converter accommodated my 110V devices flawlessly in countries with 220V standard voltage. I used it daily to charge my phone, laptop, and even my travel hairdryer and straightener - the converter handled them all with no issues, no overheating, no odd electrical noises, or other concerns you might fear with gadgets like this. The inclusion of 4 different international plugs (EU, UK, AU, and US) was a life-saver. Instead of juggling multiple adapters, this one was an all-in-one solution. Plus, the 3 USB ports are a smart addition, allowing me to charge multiple devices at once, reducing the hassle of waiting for one device to charge before starting another. Considering the peace of mind and convenience it provided, this converter is definitely a worthwhile investment for any international traveler. Say goodbye to carrying a bag full of various adapters and hello to hassle-free globetrotting with this little gem!

Travel Power Adapter/Conveter
I purchased this item in March for a trip to Europe in April. On the first night of our trip, I wanted to use this Power Adapter/Converter to recharge the battery for my phone and it didn't work. I tried different outlets in the room and it wouldn't work. I contacted the hotel registration desk and he said he didn't know why it wouldn't work, so I just assumed that I had purchased a defective product. I was definitely disappointed because I purchased it because of the size and th many things that you could charge at one time. The next morning we were talking to other hotel guests and they said they didn't have any problems in their rooms. I mentioned this to the guy at the front desk and he said he'd check on it. When we returned that evening, it worked. So the problem wasn't the product, it was the hotel's problem. The adapter/converted worked very well for the remainder of our trip to Europe (Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Ireland) which was 5 1/2 weeks long. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who is traveling to Europe. It work very well for me and I used it every night for me except for the first night which was caused by a problem at the hotel.
