Lattafa Perfumes Velvet Rose for Unisex Eau de Parfum Spray, 3.4 Ounce

I was looking for a scent that evokes a warm floral insence. I bought this blind, hoping it wouldn't be another disappointment. I'm really glad I did. Starting with the packaging, the suede canister is gorgeous as is the bottle itself. Very luxurious. Upon first spray, smelled very strong but then settled down into a sensuous rose/patchouli/oud that, while offered as a unisex perfume, is distinctly feminine. I wouldn't describe it as soft. More of a rich luxurious scent that definitely reminds me of a good insence that lingers for hours. This might be my new signature scent. Lovely!

Very heavy patchouli and rose fragrance. Good projection and longevity. If you like patchouli and rose then you will love it. Excellent perfume for the price.

This perfume smells so good! I have done so many blind buys from Lattafa and it has paid off, I am writing this review so yall dont have to go through that. It is a very feminine but complex smelling perfume. It smells like a soft and spicy amber hug and has a light floral undertone but is not intensely rosy. The value for the complexity and wear time of this scent is insane! It is definitely more of a night time perfume but I think I will also wear it during the day as well just because i like it so much.

There is something very classy and decadent about this scent. It's pure rose that does not smell cheap. I don't find it to be a youthful smell, more suited for a women then for a girl. There is something nostalgic about this aroma, very noble and classy but not in old way. Goes on strong but doesn't last long, linear smell that doesn't change, stays rose with some weight and bitterness to it. Packaging is beautiful per usual for this brand.

Let me explain. I’ve been looking for a scent that smells like Catholic Church. Like I like the smell of frankincense and myrh so I wanted that comfort. I tried to get recs but was unsuccessful at finding anything except a fragrance oil called “ frankincense and myrh”. I hated this perfume at first before making the church connection. Idk why people are saying it smells like old lady, I mean I see it . I can see why. I can see why they’d say it smells like old lady, but really it smells like church. Not a smoky church. It just has that incense clean church smell going, it’s not that overly strong either. If you’re looking for a Catholic Church smell, I would get this. It’s really close. Maybe pairing it with that fragrance oil would make this a bit more smoky. It’s does have that smell of frankincense that the church has along with a fresh picked rose at the top. I feel like the rose is a tiny bit more prominent throughout the beginning (albeit not strong) but then it gets mixed in with the other notes to give it that heavy church vibe. This is a win for me as I was going to get that fragrance oil called “holy terror” but I didn’t get it because it was too expensive and discontinued (Arkana “holy terror”).

There’s nothing impactful about it. It’s a nice rose perfume but that’s it.

Read the reviews hoping that this velvet rose perfume would smell somewhat decent. My nose hates it. It smells like ripe azz-whole. Terrible scent. Prive rose doesn’t stay that long even though it’s the edp. I’m always disappointed with almost every lattafa perfume I’ve ever bought. I think this is my sign to just stop purchasing lattafa perfumes.

First of all, the packaging is great. The velvety box protects the bottle. The scent leans more feminine. You get the sweet smell of roses and spices with a little vanilla and oud. It's not too sweet or overpowering. It's pleasant. It lasts a while on me and definitely last for hours on my clothes. I would recommend this scent. Update: After the scent macerated, I liked this before but now I love this! I really don't get the vanilla anymore. So, it's not as sweet as it was at first. It's a clean soapy rose, slightly sweet scent with a hint of wood & spice. So pleasant & comforting like you just stepped out of the shower. The scent lasts all day! Easily one of my favorites next to Amethyst.

Very strong chemically/alcohol kind of smell- if you’re prone to headaches/migraines- this is definitely NOT the one to get. Kind of like it hasn’t all been blended well together or something. Lovely packaging, but yeah, not a fan.

Se lo regalé a mi madre y la verdad qué cosa tan agradable al olfato. Huele riquísimo, es un aroma rico, limpio y neutral, sin sentirse intenso ni pesado. Lo mejor es que no enfada, se puede usar diario y deja una sensación muy agradable. Muy buen perfume, sí lo recomiendo.
