This thing is huge! Very hefty there are a few parts like the sides that break off easily but the detail outweighs that. It's definitely better than previous iterations with good attention to all the small details that are in the game. It's for collectors rather than young people with how long it takes to build I would recommend it for people 14 and up. It took me a week and a half to build. No missing pieces though so I wouldn't be afraid of having an unfinished build. It's easy to assemble but takes a long time. It is pretty expensive but with how many pieces and figures it comes with it's easy to see why. Once again for any parents or grandparents, this thing is hard to finish so for kids in the lower age range do not get it for them. I recommend it otherwise for how nice it looks.

This set is amazing. For the price, the amount of "set" you get is well worth it. The abundance of marines is also pretty awesome. The elephant rolls amazingly on the treads as well. It's sturdy and was fun to build, and I'm sure any Halo Mega would enjoy it.

So this isn't necessarily a complaint on the set itself but the scumbags that use malpractice of the system. I want to start off by saying this is a phenomenal set from Mega. No complaints as it is an outstanding set. A great build, detailed figures, a playable set piece, and lots of great parts in metallic green. My issue here is dirt bags buying sets, taking the figures from them, taping up the box, and returning it to Amazon as "USED". For context I bought this set new from Mattel when it first released. I had a blast building it and absolutely loved it. I got a 2nd one (the reason for this review) for parts at a cheaper price. However upon opening the box all the parts are present, aside from the 1st bag that has the figures. While it's not a total loss for me as I'm using the parts for custom builds, it's disgusting that this could've easily ruined another person's (or kids) building experience. A set they finally wanted at a cheaper price and upon building it, a main draw being new/rare figures are just missing. Now I get you run the risk of missing parts or a damaged box during the transition process (hence why it was used or damaged) but this is different. It's selfish and malicious and I hope you step on a Lego brick while bare foot. Overall I recommend the set, just be weary of the used option is all I'm saying.

Great set, arrived in 2 days. I did have 2 missing pieces, however I did replace them with identical pieces from the original elephant set from 2011 (it's seen better days anyways), the missing pieces weren't significant either, just some detail. Speaking of the original set, I can safely say this is quite the upgrade: better quality, better figures, the treads are much better, plus it can open up for easier access and kids can play inside. All in all it wasn't too hard to build, it did take around 15 hours, but it wasn't difficult, the piece separator and track aligner were life savers. All of the decorative text and images are printed rather than stickers which I especially enjoy since all of the stickers of the original have long since been lost with time. And as the previews show, it can fit 2 mongeese and a warthog/razorback, it will be cramped however and you'll have to remove the ramp to the 2nd level for the warthog/mongoose.

It took me a few days to build but it was a very enjoyable set, it is nice and sturdy and very well made. It was only missing one small piece that was easily replaced. A little bit expensive but worth the money. The design and details are very nice.

A pesar del número de piezas y detalles que posee, no es considerado un signature series, lo que me parece muy extraño. Es un set muy completo, tiene detalles como el holograma del profeta de la verdad, el panel de análisis del elephant en la parte baja del vehículo, el brazo móvil de la grúa, las mini figuras y las placas de escuadrón que pueden intercambiarse en el costado izquierdo. Algunas cosas que me no me agradaron mucho pero que no por ello repercuten en lo asombroso del set, fue que no se haya incluido la mongoose como en el primer modelo de mega bloks, las bisagras de los laterales que son visibles desde el exterior y el nuevo sistema de orugas que se arman con piezas plásticas en vez de bandas de goma como antes. Pero como mencionaba, son aspectos menores. Si eres fan de Halo y Mega, este set sin dudas es para ti.
