Auralax LENRD Bass Traps, 12-Inch by 12-Inch by 24-Inch, Pack of 2, Charcoal

They are kind of pricey, but considering that I have already invested a lot of money constructing an STC rated room, I decided not to risk a cheap knock-off (research research research)...and after installing I can say that I made the right choice. I already have (4) floor-to-ceiling corner bass traps and (2) ceiling clouds (made with 4" 6lb Roxul) in my small music studio, so I used these along the ceiling edge and it made a noticeable difference. They were larger than I had anticipated, dense and flawlessly cut. Comes uncompressed so they can be installed immediately (I used 3M Hi-strength 90 on wall & back of foam which instantly holds them in place). I also received the package several days early. Highly recommend.

My house is dead quiet now. Incredible! Modern, concrete and glass house w 16’ ceiling and horrific echo. I put these in corners behind couches and furniture and above cabinets in places they won’t be noticed. The reduced noise and echos was immediate and shocking.

I recently got a set of new speakers for my home theater that were much larger than the previous units, and much higher quality. This then revealed the limitations of the room I use. It's 16 by 25 with 8 foot ceiling and the new speakers were overwhelming the space. A friend of mine suggested these bass traps, and when I saw the price I thought "No way", but he invited me over to check out his theater room after he'd installed them, and it was remarkable how much tighter and solid things sounded. So I bought 8, one for each corner, and 72 "wedgies" to tame the walls down. The installation was an issue at first. I made the terrible mistake of using the DAP Peel'N Stick people had recommended for the wedgies on the traps. While it holds up a wedgie fine, the peel'n stick will not hold up a bass trap. In the night they all fell down. I can also verify the complaint some people had about the smell is true, it reeked for days. Following that I used the 4$/tube DAP Strong Stik that has pretty much no odor and worked great. [...] PROS: Tightens up the low frequencies no end. I could discern directional bass where before it was all wash of general wash of sound. CONS: The price is high, but these guys have a monopoly so they get away with it. Hence only 4 stars.

I have bought other brans of foam before - never again. These Auralex bass traps are absolutely fantastic. I started with 4 and now have more than 12 in my 11'x11' cube of a room. They have dramatically improved the acoustics of my room beyond description in this short review. I simply cannot recommend these bass traps enough!!! Would rate 10 stars if I could...

These bass traps are a very good option if you have a tight budget and you still need to control the low frequency waves bouncing in your space. These bass traps worked great and also the installation was very simple. I used the Auralex TTPro Tubetak Pro Liquid Adhesive to glue the bass traps on the walls. As a note I used 4 tubetaks to install the 8 bass traps that came with the kit

Research before you buy. These are the easy way out, you can find way more affordable options, i just don't have the time to invest in those.

Ordered these and was pleasantly surprised how solid they were. I was expecting light packing type foam, but these are really heavy foam. I ended up ordering the spray on adhesive which works absolutely perfect. Spray on the back of the trap, wait 10 seconds and the press onto the wall for about 15 seconds. Solid

Night and day difference in my practice space that is also my hobby "studio". After putting them up in conjunction with 1*1*2 wegdie24 panels it's a totally different room that is much more enjoyable
