Dorman 917-176 Engine Variable Valve Timing (VVT) Solenoid Filter Compatible with Select Acura / Honda Models

The Vtech solenoids will eventually leak via this gasket. It is not an if, but a when.When that happens you need to pull th solenoid off and replace this unit as the old one gets very brittle and the screen gets clogged.This causes poor performance and leaks. This fits right inside the solenoid. While it is off, I suggest a cheap oil pressure sender sensor to avoid yanking it again in the near future. Cheap easy way to avoid more ehadach down the line.Good buy on this.

I installed this very inexpensive part on the back of my Honda CRV and it solved a mysterious oil leak that was there for five years that nobody could find that trickled oil down the back of the engine in the driveway for all these years. Very simple to get to also.

It stopped a huge oil leak. One little gasket an screen . I was so happy after I finished installing it. No more oil on the ground.

Seems to have fixed my oil leak. Holding seal as of now, but I will update this review if it goes out. Quality seems good. Feels nice and pliable, no cuts or tears in it. Perfect shape.

This was the perfect fit and fix for my 2005 Honda Element. It was "bucking" and acting like the engine was cutting out around 3,000 RPM while driving. If you floored it, the engine would die. A little research suggested my VTEC screen was clogged. I ordered this bad boy, and swapped it out yesterday and BAM!!! My Element is rockin' and rollin' again! Amazing how this little thing can affect your engine, but wow the power and pep it has now! The screen wasn't visibly clogged, but apparently was gummed up enough to make a difference.

Fits perfectly but still leaking oil maybe I need a new solenoid!!!
