Bought fir my daughters boyfriend as a stocking gift. Even as an adult, he loved it. Product as described and very happy.

This was a Christmas present and the person is a massive Dungeons and Dragons fan, was thrilled with the book.

Somewhat strange
And I would describe it as a hardcover franchise magazine aimed at younger readers rather than an older Dragon reader. The format is similar to other similar franchise offerings - most pages are art with accompanying text boxes overlaid, don't expect articles, although at 89 pages it does take some time to get through. And don't expect much in-depth detail or stats - there aren't any for anything or anyone referred to other than challenge rating. Strange for such a stat centred game. And surprisingly - despite the amount of d&d art there must be - there are some repeat images from other years, some region maps just being reused with changed text boxes. As if they only have a limited portfolio to work with. There are also strange puzzles and mazes mixed in, obviously aimed at children. If you have read a monthly Star Wars magazine - it is as light as they are, otherwise it is as undemanding as d&d material can get, even less so than a poor franchise novel. To the point where I am unable to decide whether it was worth buying or whether I could recommend it.

I bought this as a gift for a roleplaying friend of many years. He absolutely love it. The quality of artwork and material in the annual was top notch.
