I've suffered from very painful periods for decades. I usually take max strength ibuprofen and paracetamol but I recently saw a great doctor who told me to try evening primrose oil. I told her I was already taking 1000mg a day with no luck - she said I should be taking 3000mg a day. I did that and within 3 weeks my period pain had almost entirely done away and I didn't take a single pain killer. This was literally unimaginable for me. I never would have believed it possible.She also told me to take Curcumin with black pepper aswell as it's an anti-inflammatory, so I don't know if you need both or which one was responsible for the change, but I would say to get these and make sure you take 3000mg a day plus the curcumin with black pepper.

I hate reviewing supplements as you never actually know how good the contents are. I could be taking baby oil for all I know...The reason I'm giving these a 5* review is that I've just changed from another brand (of Evening Primrose) because the capsules were giving me chronic indigestion.This one - I'm managing to take 2-3 a day and not having ill effects. Great news.

These are great for "women of a certain age."Stops hot flushes.Highly recommended.Update: The last box I ordered contained dried up and crusty capsules that were cloudy and stuck together.Going to try another brand now so taken a star off for this.

I usually buy evening primrose oil from a high street health food store but isn't available at the moment. I searched Amazon for a vegetarian version and found this. It arrived the next day. The shape of the packaging means it fitted through the letter box. The product seems as good as my previous brand so I will probably buy it again.

Great source of vitamin E and GLA. Cruelty free and vegan, which is a plus whereI am concerned.
