I like the "average" temperature option. Its hard to find similar devises that offer an average temp. They have HI and LOW but the average option is great. One thing I did learn is that it doesn't work very well if it is stored in a cold freezing environment. The temperature is way off. Once I brought it in the house and let it warm up to room temperature, it worked great. I tested it on boiling water and ice. It was accurate, maybe not for scientific purposes but for general use. For the price and "Average" option, I recommend this product.

This replaced a previous one, that we had for years. Good to check tire temp on the motorhome or the accuracy of your oven temp. So MANY uses. Sturdy built and high quality!

This is one of the cheapest Infrared Thermometer out there, performs accordingly. Love the color screen and the min/max/avg function. The dual laser is convenient. Just aim it so the target is in between the two dots. It's dead accurate when the ambient temperature is about 75-80 degrees but starting to drift badly when it's outside that range. Apparently there is no ambient temperature compensation - is there ? Thought I had a different unit so I got a second one, it was worse.

Great price. Works well. I love the fact that you can switch between Min, Max, and Avg settings.
