Sadaf Barberries Dried - Zereshk Dried Barberries - Persian groceries - 6 oz Package

Good product. Arrived in good condition. Taste was as expected with a pleasant tartness and the berries were dark red a slightly moist texture and with a healthy appearance.

I never knew the berries on the barberry bushes in my back yard were so nutritious! I read an article in my health newsletter that they are packed with antioxidants so I looked for them on Amazon. I was hesitant to order after reading so many bad reviews of the barberries. Some were old, some dried out and some had BUGS! This provider however sells barberries that are tender and fresh and free from mold. They add a delicious "bite" of sourness to my salads. I have already re-ordered and will continue to do so. Highly recommend. This is a quality product!

The product is as advertised and arrived in good time.

Very tasty and high quality berries, great quantity for the price as well

Berries are great but not packed appropriately for shipping. They were in a soft envelope rather than a box, and when the envelope was crushed the berry box popped partially open, spilling about 1/3 of the contents into the shipping bag.

I was very disappointed with this product. The barberries were almost black instead of the normal red color shown in the product photos. They looked very old and stale and were not edible at all. The product I received looked completely different from the pictures on Amazon.Unfortunately, there was also no return option available. This was a complete waste of money. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I make Zereshk Polow (Jeweled Rice, I think) fairly often (a stripped down recipe with pine nuts, saffron and barberries). It's not easy to find barberries where I live and using currants just doesn't work for me. These are plump (although they do need further plumping in hot water) and the perfect sweet-tart flavor. They keep well in the freezer--I hold a cup or so in the fridge at a time, which lasts for several dishes. The seller was fast, shipping reasonable. This is a good deal.

Love it
