It has an MP3 player which sounds just as good, but that depends on where the music came from. It can't play what's not there from the start! Love this thing!!!!!! Liked this little radio/mp3 player so well I bought another one. Pros - 1 Good pick up of fm stations without having to extend antenna. I have not noticed any drift or loss of station when in use and there is no bleeding from one station into another. 2. Flashlight is great and has a low and high setting. The high setting is comparable to a dedicated flashlight and has a LOT of uses around the house. I find it useful at night when I am walking my dog. 3. Sound quality is pretty good for a small radio and its very good when used with a wired headset. Volume is good on both radio and mps. I've used some mp3 devices that were low volume, this doesn't seem like it has that issue 4 Build quality seems good, nothing rattles or is loose. Tuning knob is firm and while the dial is small I have had no issues tuning in my stations. 5. Unit is pretty small and fits easily in a shift pocket 6. Battery life is good. I've replaced the included battery with a 3300 mah battery for even greater duration. I don't have to charge for days. The power indicator blinks when the unit is plugged in and charging. Cons 1. Both the units I received initially had no reception on am band. I found that by working the band/mp3 selector on top back and forth multiple times I could get am to work. 2. When am reception did begin to work the range was not the best. This is not a radio you will use for distant am radio stations 3. Uses the older mini usb micro cable with the flat side, not the newer usb c cord. Not an issue, but if you misplace the included charge cable you might want to be aware of this fact. Conclusion- highly recommended, which is why I bought another unit to have a spare.

The sound for something much like an old transistor radio is decent. Tuning is delicate, since the dial is so small, but I usually manage to get my stations. It cuts out too often for unknown reasons and requires a little fiddling to get back. A slight bump will knock it out entirely. Was never very dependable for a basic radio and now it barely works at all.

Owned about a month now, used on bike rides. Hefty, appears to be well built to last. AM / FM comes in loud and clear with good, clear sound. Bought it to listen to audiobooks; which works well with the micro card BUT BUYERS SHOULD NOTE that using it for listening to books is awkward and not an ideal use. The fast forward button will jump several chapters at a time instead of just advancing 10 to 20 seconds. Once you advance, you can't go back because there is no audio reverse so I've found that just loading in a couple of chapters at a time works; but is not ideal. Just ordered player - this being like Feb 27th. I hate that you can't go back a single chapter of an audiobook but understand this appears to be marketed to Mp3 music lovers. Whatever, it is a good, solid product so far and kicking out another $22.00 or whatever was a reasonable some to listen to 3 audiobook when needed. One on the phone and soon with my second Lijiani am/fm/mp3 am/fm player. DON't buy if you're into AUDIOBOOKS like me - it seems primarily geared to music, but does play audiobooks fine if you understand YOU REALLY Can't REWIND JUST A FEW SECONDS - MORE OF A MUSIC PLAYER.

WHAT THE HECK !? Just turning it off and then on it loses it's last turned station.

You can say this is part of my husband's uniform. He's a mailman and when he's doing his route he has this in his pocket playing news or sports....it has a good volume (Mailmen can't wear earplugs on the job). Good value for your money.

As described and it works like a charm.

Does everytihng it's supposed to well, only annoying part is no LCD screen for MP3 control, can only move forward or back one track at at time, no list feature.
