Not only the headset screams quality, the coustomer service too
Before I came across the Destek V4 VR headset, I thought that VR consisted of either an expensive headset that had to be tethered to a computer or a piece of cardboard that you have to hold to your face. Those preconceptions were completely shattered when I purchased this headset. For 36 dollars, you get a sturdy, elegant headset that has a field of view of 103* (the FOV for humans is 114*and Google cardboard usually has around 85*), an adjustable focal length (meaning that if you have glasses, you can adjust the headset and use it without them), FAUX LEATHER STRAPS, safety coated lenses, a felt storage bag, microfiber cleaning cloth and just an overall high quality build. I was showing this to people around my dorm and it is really as fun to watch others use it as it is to actually use it yourself. People got so surprised when I told them that it was actually my phone in there and when they found out the price, they were really impressed by how it looked and what it can do.When I use the headset, I find it really comfortable to wear; the adjustable straps really help you take some of the small weight of your phone off of your nose. Also, there is a padded piece of plastic that connects the straps with a small bungee on the back of your head and it really helps keep the headset snug on your face. The only thing that triumphs the headset itself is Destek’s customer service. When I received the first headset in the mail, I had noticed that the Pupil Distance knobs (located at the bottom of the headset) where stuck in place. Immediately after discovering it, I e-mailed Destek, explaining my problem. Expecting that they reply in a day or two, I was really impressed when I recieved a reply after not even two hours. After explaining my situation to the friendly support staff, they simply asked me to take a few pictures and videos of the problem. After confirming that I indeed had a product with a defect, they simply agreed to send me a brand new one - completely for free! That is something that completey blew me away. I now have a fully working headset that works flawlessly and I am happy to say that the first one will be used in my college’s Science Museum! I donated it to our team and we will be using this VR technology to create an imersive exhibit that will let children and parents alike thrust themselvs into amazing situations that they could never before imagine! Weather it be in outer space, deep in the ocean, or visiting the arctic - anything is possible with the Destek V4!Over all, this is a high quality product that makes Virtual reality accesable to truly anybody. You can see that the people that are behind this headset truly care about it and the people who use it. The effort truly shows.

Not for those who wear glasses
Overall, this is not a bad headset. Lens adjustments has nominal movement but it does help, at least to some degree, focusing on a picture. It doesn't always work, however. I personally found certain parts rather flimsy, but you can't complain too much when purchasing a headset for this price. And I also own Oculus Rift and that's significantly more expensive, so I wouldn't expect that level of quality on this headset. One thing to note, this is NOT for those who wear glasses. You won't be getting a full VR experience with this headset when you wear glasses because the lens housing is big enough for your face to fit through, but not with glasses; your glasses frames will get stuck near the side straps. And if you have bad eyes like me, taking off my glasses is not an option. But if you don't suffer from the problem like the mentioned above, then this is not a bad purchase. It's affordable and it will do the job.

On Par with my expectations
This set is nearly exactly what I had expected for a budget VR experience! It's fun! It's obviously no HTC Vive or anything, but I can get a decent VR experience for cheap!I usually wear glasses, but as the product mentions, there is no space for my glasses with this headset. However, it does allow you to adjust the view. I can't get it to be QUITE on par with my glasses, but I can get it to be a comfortable-ish range. I'm quite thankful for that feature, as it has proved to be invaluable.I've dropped this off my bed a few times in the days I've had it, but it has shown to sustain no damage. It honestly does not feel like a cheaply made product. It has some weight to it, and it feels solid.I've looked at some phone VR headsets that didn't have that top strap, and let me tell you, that top strap has proved to be VITAL in keeping the headset steady. Even if you choose not to purchase this particular headset, I would highly suggest you purchase a set that has that top strap. As for immersion, I will say that you shouldn't expect anything fancy. Even as I was in VR, I was fully aware that I was not in the environment. Your peripheral vision isn't 'right', so that gives it away for one. Secondly, this headset seem to experience an issue where the lenses will fog up because of your body heat. And that slight layer of fog manages to soil the experience, making you quite aware of your outside body, so to speak. Sometimes, the light from your phone will be caught by the edges of the place it is contained, which also sullies the experience.Overall, though, it's what I expected. It's not a full VR experience, but it's fun and interesting.I highly suggest getting yourself Trinus VR, which will allow you to use your phone as a second 'monitor', if you will, allowing you to project your SteamVR games and such onto your phone and play them. It costs 10 bucks for the full version, and theres a free version to try. Combined with this headset, you'll have a very affordable VR gaming experience. And there are also other apps you can get and mcguyver to allow for using your webcam and some LEDS as a makeshift LED tracker for positioning, as well. But that's not necessary unless you want it.Not counting the price of your games, phone, or computer, you'll have a roughly 40 dollar virtual reality experience with this headset and Trinus VR as opposed to about a 300+ dollar headset. It's worth the money! Just be sure to keep your expectations in check!

DESTEK VR v4 is affordable and easy to use
The DESKTEK VR v4 Glasses I've been playing with is very well built. I find that it's better built than the Google VR ones. Coming in at $39.99 CAD on Amazon Canada, this makes them quite affordable for anyone looking into getting in the VR world. The DESKTEK VR v4 is on par with some of the lower cost headset with a high quality built, base on the experience of the user. This is perfect if you want to immerse yourself and still be comfortable. What comes with this specific model? Inside the box we can find a carrying pouch, the comfortable leather straps, a cleaning lens cloth, there's an adjuster on the top of the set to for the distance and the clarity of the view. The headset provides a wide field of view of 103 degrees, binocular vision used to perceive depth as we would normally without the glasses. It still takes a bit of time to adjust to the focus of how the interactivity of it is.The lens of the VR v4 has been designed in a way that would provide prolong exposure to the VR experience without straining the user's eyes, with lenses made of acrylic which can transmit 92% of available this makes them ideal. An anti-blue like coating was also added to the lens to ensure that you wouldn't strain your eyes. There's a nice cushioned area around the headset that allows it to rest comfortably as possible on your face, with the added strap to hold on to your head and alleviate any of the pressure. What all this blub means is that you can wear this for a few hours once you've set it up properly. I've watched a movie with this on and I was slightly floored by how well it was doing and the immersive experience gave me a bit of a scare the first time. The top of the DESTEK VR v4 offers a touch sensitive button in case you don't have a controller, this helps with the selection and or the gameplay that one would make. The part where you'll insert your smartphone can accommodate virtually any make and model from 4.5-inches to a maximum of 6-inches. This should work for the majority of devices on the market. Yes, I'm aware we now have larger than 6-inch phones. If you are used to using glasses, you may want to skip the VR v4 glasses, since it would be comfortable for most. It's unfortunate that most of these devices are made for people who don't wear them. However, if you have contact lenses, you'll enjoy this.I've had the pleasure of enjoying a few movies, some video games, some scenery apps and a few others. Now, I don't know about you, but I think the VR glasses, in general, are a niche market. It hasn't exploded all over the place. We did see a big boom about 2 years ago, but since then it's remained pretty much at the same place.I'm still hoping for the "holodeck" type of immersive experience like we've seen in Star Trek, but in the meantime, I guess this will have to do.You might want to check out some of these interesting VR Games that I personally enjoyed playing; First I have VR Fantasy which is an RPG fantasy base game, followed by Deep Space Battle VR as the name implies, you're in space with some battle spaceships. This should set you up for some good gaming time. Now when it comes to entertainment, I've got something different, Fulldive VR which allows you to select for a wide range of interesting movies, clips, concerts to be viewed in VR.

Completamente soddisfatto!
Molto apprezzato.

Great for the value!
*UPDATE*After buying my first Destek V4 VR Headset I noticed that the nose rest became uncomfortable after a 20 minutes or so wear due to a hard plastic compound being used. I was then sent a new version which had a softer rubber compound for the nose rest and I can say now that it is MUCH comfier and now is not an issue to wear for a longer period. The rest of the product as I said before is very good. The price of the product does not reflect the quality. There are much more expensive VR headsets but I have yet to find one where I feel it is better money spent than Destek's version. I would very much recommend this headset to anyone looking for a comfortable, durable and aesthetically pleasing VR Headset. It's certainly the best VR Headset on the market hands down. Also the customer service have been excellent. I RECOMMEND!!*PREVIOUS REVIEW*Great product. Only fallback is the plastic around the nose is sometimes a bit uncomfortable but for the price it's certainly no.1
