KEEN Customer, 2nd Time Around
This is my second pair of KEEN boots. The first were bought in November of 2016 and were the Men's Pittsburgh Steel Toe Work Boot. I got this version because of the higher ankle support and here's what I found:The Coburg steel-toe version seems LIGHTER than the Pittsburgh steel-toe. I know this sounds hard to believe, but I was surprised myself. The Cogurg seems better made and better constructed in the stitching and gluing areas (don't know if it's due to being USA made or not)The Coburg seems to be keeping my feet drier than the Pittsburgh steel-toe.The Coburg bends easier when getting up of your knees and off the ground. If you are looking for a boot than can handle 10 hours worth of duty, then these are your boots. I don't get them wet so I can't speak on how they hold up, but for climbing ladders, stairs, hard concrete floors and carry around heavy items, these boots shine. I hope the men and women who make these boots in the US get to read the reviews, they do a great job and KEEN is the only boot I will ever use for work.

Comfy, not durable
Great boots while they lasted! (~1yr)I was looking for a high ankle boot with steel/composite tires toes and this is what I decided on. Having had multiple Keen footwear before, I had high standards for these boots. For the first 6 months they only received light duty work in a bike shop. Very comfortable on 10+hr days! Though the soles did feel a bit too much on the flexy side.At around 7 months, they were put in the trenches, literally. Using a shovel and kicking dirt all day for about 3 months, these boots held strong. Until they didn't. It became a challenge to care for the leather in between so much synthetic materials. Leather started cracking earlier than expected, but they still had life left in them. The soles cracked in the same spot of both boots, eliminating their waterproofnes. Before that, they endured the wetness of snow for about 15 minutes before my socks would get wet. I wasn't expecting complete dryness from these boots, so no complaints. In fact they were quite breathable, much to my surprise.I had to stop wearing them because the edge of the composite toes chipped off inside the shoe. This chip was under some layers of fabric and eventually traveled a bit towards the front of the foot. I only lasted a day more with these boots because of that chip. It created a rub spot right on the top of my toes which was too painful to handle.Great boot, very comfortableNot very durable tho.

Great Work Boot
I have worn RedWing boots for 25+ years and was looking for a new American manufacturer of work boots. The RedWings take a good 3-4 weeks to break-in good and they were not lasting as long. I went online and started reading comments about Keen work boots. So many people talked about the comfort and no break-in period of the boots. I ordered a pair of the 8" Coburgs to try out. After breaking in boots all these years I was a bit skeptical about the no break-in period. Well, let me say this I am very impressed with these boots so far. The first morning I put them on I was surprised how good they felt. they fit like a glove. I put my old RedWing's in the truck to change out later when my feet started hurting from the break-in that day but I never had to. What everyone had said about Keen's boots already being broke in was true. I will be ordering another pair for other outside activities besides work. I work in Construction and put the boots to the test in a hard environment. Thanks to Keen for a great boot.

Not very durable after a year.
I have worn Timberland Pros for almost 4 years, and have loved them, the fit like a comfortable pair of shoes. I decided to give a new boot a shot, and actually picked a brand that I hated before buying theses 6 months later.I walk a lot, on all different types of projects from buildings to dirt work. They have been very comfortable.Out of the box they are comfortable boot, I wear wide, and the size is perfect. have not had any hot spots, and the steel toe box does not rub at all.The only problem I have had with these so far, is the let down I encountered with Keen customer service. Not even 30 day after getting these in the mail, a lace snapped. I reached out to Keen on a whim hoping they would send a set of laces to replaces for a pair that didn't even make it 30 days. First i was told that laces are not covered under warranty, then was told that they might have a pair in a warehouse they could send me, but wouldn't be the same as what came with the boot.Needless to say, I punted and found Rhino Laces, who make some of the nicest boot laces I've ever seen. AND they have a lifetime replacement warranty. So that was my solution.Overall I would recommend Keen boots, and my wife who is a Union Electrician just got a pair too, and like them so far. We'll see how well they last.Update 1 year and 3 months later:They are still comfortable, I'll give them that. The big but of the review is their durability. For the record, I'm a safety guy, and if you work construction you know we don't do a whole lot. So with that said, I have worn these boots everyday, 5 days a week, for 10 to 12 hours a day. The final flaw that will cause me to replace these showed it's ugly head the other day. They began to pull away from the foot bed on the outside of the foot. The second, the soles have split at the bottom of the balls of my feet.

Best boots I've ever bought
As all us blue collar manual labor fellas know, good boots are essential for making it through a long work week. These Keen Coburg's are American Made! And you can definitely tell the difference. I have three pairs of Keen boots..One pair of standard toe'd hiking boots, a pair of steel toe work boots, and the American Made steel toe work boots. All Keen boots are a cut above the rest by a long margin as far as comfort and quality goes, but the American Made Keen boots are like walking on a cloud, and built like a 90s Honda. They just won't die!I wore these boots working in 3ft of snow in -10 degrees, and my feet were warm and dry for the whole 13 hours! If you have serious problems with your feet and are in dire need of a comfortable boot, these are for you!
