These plastic rings are sturdy and installed in minutes and look great. My contractor suggested caulking around the lights to cover the gaps around the new lights. I searched for a better solution and found these. Perfect size and just the right amount of rings in one package that I needed. Before and after photos supplied.

Bought 6" LED recessed lights and during install I had sheetrock damage around old recessed can light cut-out hole. These goof rings go around the LED lights to hide imperfections in your sheetrock ceiling. And I actually believe this makes your newly installed, recessed LED lights look more finished and professional. Looking back, I'm so glad I bought one of these for every LED light I bought. Not cheap but man they make the lights look good. If you buy 6" LED lights, be sure and get 8" goof rings so that you have at least a 2" exposed goof ring to cover up your damaged sheetrock.

Was installing LED retrofit Canlite’s, and was afraid the ring would not be large enough to cover the 6 inch hole. These added the extra coverage needed perfect fit, and worked as described.

Changed out old can lights with led lights. And of course, I was left with unsightly larger rings of Sheetrock damage/discoloration surrounding the new lights. This is the perfect quick fix as opposed to painting and or patching the ceiling.

These goof rings are just the ticket to add to the ceiling cans that don't quite cover the misshapened cut-outs made for the cans. The matte finish does not detract from the downlight can fitting. They are also easy to adjust to get the right amount of reveal around the can. Excellent product.

20+ years ago when I installed can lights throughout my basement I cut the holes perfectly in the drop ceiling tiles. Those cans used a huge trim ring - about 2" of trim around the opening. I just replaced all of my cans with various new LED shallow / disc fixtures and the light is great but for some models they are just barely larger than the hole required to mount them, and the lights are not just recessed they are going into the tile... I didn't want to mess around cutting new holes and/or trying to match 22 year old ceiling tiles so enter these goof rings. My photo is with the light off so the ring can actually be seen. In actual use, with the light on, who the heck but you is ever going to look at the light? I slapped a few rings up and am getting on with life. I had 6" cams and they were replaced with 6" LED but i found these to be too big. Too big internal diameter and then the external diameter was so much bigger than my LED's that it gave them way too substantial of a halo and made them look funny. I ended up exchanging these for some 6" goof rings with tighter tolerances and a smaller profile. Check your measurements because they seem to be different across every brand and depending on whether you need a lot of cover up or a little.
