Nostalgia Iced Coffee Maker and Tea Brewing System, Glass Pitcher, 3 quart, Black

I have only had this pitcher about a month. It makes great tasting ice tea. I fortunately noticed a couple of days ago a sharp edge where the handle is connected to pitcher at the top. I realized that one more time of picking up the pitcher would have been a disaster because it was almost off. The pitcher would have been in the floor in a thousand pieces & tea everywhere. This is a very poor quality pitcher. I would suggest not buying it. It will be at your own risk.

I used this machine daily & it makes great tea. The pitcher is so fragile that I am afraid to even fill the pitcher with ice directly from my ice maker. When rising it out, I treat it like fine china. And I would never put it in the dishwasher. Today, I was putting the plastic cap on and the pitcher broke in to 3 pieces. If I could replace the pitcher, then it would be no big deal. Without the option to replace the pitcher, I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Read other reviews here and be warned: The GLASS Pitcher arrived shattered in the box. Shipping box had no damage, and packing was good EXCEPT the pitcher should have been packed in a separate foam lined container. BE FOREWARNED: The Carafe Pitcher is made of wafer-thin glass, thinner than you might even think, it isn't tempered and durable like a coffee maker carafe and WILL BREAK on you after a few uses. The company should either recall this product or offer a better pitcher, even a plastic one, either free of charge or offer a discounted upgrade or something. This is unacceptable, and I'm not normally a critical person. I could have been injured by the shattered glass when opening the package. I can't express well enough how flimsy the glass is. The rest of the product looks ok except the filter basket needs to be deeper because, for one, the spray still doesn't get all over the tea and second the capacity isn't enough.

Wow! I've been using "the other brand" tea maker for over 20 years. The one I had keep leaking water all over the counter. So I purchased the Nostalgia tea maker. Love it! I made my sweet tea the way I've always made it. It tasted better than ever! Love love love. The tea had flavor. Lots of flavor. It is easy to use. And it looks modern and stylish on the counter instead of cheap and childish. Love. Would buy again and would highly recommend.

My wife loves the tea it makes..no problem there. But one star is being deducted because the glass pitcher didn't last more than a few weeks before cracking...not well made at all. Second star off because replacement pitchers are not available. If we didn't have a plastic pitcher that fit under the unit it would have been a pricey door stop. Too bad the pitcher wasn't stronger...would have been a 5 star for sure.

We've had the unit for 2 months and have been VERY careful with the pitcher considering it is glass. Last night I was washing dishes, the pitcher went in the water (the pitcher was room temperature, not cold) I washed a few dishes, picked up the pitcher to wash it and the bottom was completely gone! It had broken right off, in the water! I figured I'd have to buy another pitcher but I can't even find one. So now I have a unit that is useless until I find a glass pitcher that fits underneath it. I did still rank it a 3 as the unit itself works great and produces a great product. Just wish the pitcher wasn't so fragile. My coffee pot is glass and is a million years old. Seems they should be sturdier than this.

Let me start by saying I've only used this item once.I went to pour the tea into my glass and I heard a crack.THE HANDLE IS CRACKED!!Definitely not what you'd expect from something that cost almost $40 and is BRAND NEW!

March 5, 2019. Love this tea maker. I make about 5 pitchers per week and it’s going great. 👍👍👍👍👍This tea maker is great. Easy to use and keep clean. I’ve had mine since early January 2018. Somehow the glass pitcher got a crack in the bottom. I don’t know if I was stirring to hard with my wood spoon or what. BUT, I contacted costumer service sent a copy of my receiptand they are sending me a replacement pitcher. I didn’t register my purchase as I should have for warranty reasons. Thus they requested a copy of my receipt. Iordered via Amazon model C13BK.👍👍
