These are the best laces I’ve used. The ones I received arrived in great condition — not dried out or crispy — which tells me they’re either stored properly or just freshly cut. I’ve bought laces from other sellers that showed up stiff, brittle, and in need of heavy oiling just to keep them from breaking. These were the complete opposite. The included needle works great and was more than adequate for relacing my glove. Just note that it took me two orders to fully lace my glove, so plan ahead when ordering. They actually smell like real leather right out of the bag, unlike some others that are so dry you have to wonder what’s going on. The top grain looks excellent, the thickness is perfect, and the strength is legit — I pulled hard on these laces to test them and couldn’t get them to break. You will need to skive the lace for the palm, but that’s normal. Overall, I would absolutely buy these again. Ignore the pink in my pics… i didn’t wait long enough after dyeing before lacing it lol. Was just too excited!

Easy to use. The instructions say to cut a shoulder on both sides of your lace to insert into the needle. A single diagonal cut worked better for me. Running the lace over a block of beeswax helped too. The leather is good quality and gets the job done.

Worked perfectly to re-lace my old Mizuno glove. The only "hard" part is cutting the end of the leather so it can be screwed into the top of the needle. There is enough leather to re-lace more than one glove

Great match for traditional gloves. Color was consistent with the pictures and matched the glove so well you couldn't tell the old from new lacing. Combined with the threading needle and some youtube videos, you should be all set to repair or restring a glove. Don't forget to cut the end of the lacing at an angle and twist it into the open end of the threading needle. Wrapping in some painters tape will also reduce the chances of slipping out while pulling through the glove.

I commission a rec baseball league and try to save money when possible. A coach messaged me to say their catchers' mitt busted out the pocket/webbing. It's not the top of the line mitt but still a good Rawlings glove...and only 1.5 seasons old. So I was bit surprised. Definitely watch videos on relacing gloves. Many different ways of doing them but similar techniques. I went with the blue because it's a good contrast to a black mitt. The leather is good and the needle is the biggest necessity. After removing old lacing, and trying to follow along with videos...I went to work. First, I cleaned the glove then oiled up the leather with my preferred glove conditioner. For my first time, I think it turned out well. I had originally had the ambition to replace the entire glove with the blue lacing but there's not enough to do a whole catchers' mitt. So...for this glove, I take a star off because there's just not enough lacing to do an entire glove ( and I had very little wasted lacing). I did have the leather come out of the needle a few times but its a quick easy twist to reattach the lace to the needle. Looks good and now I can put the glove back in service. Would buy again!

I wrote a review earlier that I have since taken down. The product works great. My problem was, that I couldn't get the lace to stay in the tool, but I quickly learned you have to cut the tip of the lace on an angle so it screws in to the tool correctly. Only complaint would be for better instructions. Get a YouTube video.

This lace kit worked perfectly. I was able to replace the broken laces on my 35 year old Rawlings glove, and give it new life. The needle worked well and kept a good grip on the leather. You just need to make sure you cut the end at a good angle to fit it into the threads. The black arrows show the new laces vs the old laces with the green arrow.

I’d never relaced a baseball glove before, but this seemed a lot cheaper than buying a new one. The lace comes with a needle tool and a single card that includes instructions. Honestly, that and a pair or ordinary scissors is all you need. It wasn’t enough lace to redo my entire glove, but I ended up with enough to relace what I needed. As of this review, I’ve only had the lace on for a day, so I can’t speak to the durability. But if you’re like me and wonder how many tools you actually need, then you’ll be happy to know that this has everything. They do recommend a lubricant. I didn’t use any, but I can see how that would make it easier.

Leather was good . Tool was added bonus.

Thought it was green but the outside is dark brown and the only green is on the sides. Also no where near as much as I thought the length would be. But that’s my bad on that part since green leather isn’t very common.

As described and worked perfectly to replace my glove.
