I have little African Violet starter plants growing under it and they are doing beautifully. The only possible problem is that the base is very light and the lamp is a little top heavy. So, I put paper weights on the base to weigh it down and keep it stable.

Doesn’t work at all. Also quality of product makes me question its safety even if it did work I would still return it.
