King of Kings Lower Back Brace Pain Relief with Pulley System, Large

All, i have a chronic lower back issue. i have tried the wahlmart type black stretchy belt which did nothing. i also have an air pump up decompression belt from a major company. it doesn't hold air, but does offer some relief when i simply cinch it tight. this brace is the best brace i have had to date! the thickly sewn edges don't allow the scratchy velcro to touch my skin. i am 250 lbs. with so much blubber :( these braces tend to 'fold over'. so far this brace hasn't. now to the support. it's great! i would say it's less about support and more about immobilization. it immobilizes my lower back which takes away pressure on the painful part of my back. also, it stays tight. first you wrap the brace around you. this is generally the only way most belts work. you have to get it tight the first time. not so here. you put the brace on. then you pull the velcro straps to tighten. and boy can they tighten!!! so far, it works great standing, walking, and sitting down. i highly recommend this brace. i hate to be one of those schmucks who say 'it changed my life', but it kinda has! :)

Well designed, quality product. Pulls way tighter than any of the elastic versions in the drugstores (none of which provided any useful support, even the “heavy duty” versions I tried). Good degree of adjustability that’s easy to fine tune and holds reliably. I used their sizing recommendations >exactly as they tell you to< and found the sizing chart to be right on target. Unfortunately, for me I was right on the border between medium and large. Their recommendation was to go to the next size larger. That worked well, until I lost weight (preparing for upcoming spine surgery). After losing about 20 lbs (some of it abdominal fat, some muscle loss inn my legs due to decreased activity), the belt no longer tightened sufficiently. Tightening straps work very well, Velcro attachments are real strong. Only problem is that if you are bending or kneeling a lot, the belt will crunch up so it’s not comfortable and not supporting as much. The Velcro won’t un-crunch on it’s own. I don’t really see that as a defect, but be forewarned! It’s well padded, but not excessively — just right for comfort except when the front gets completely rolled up from bending as described above. Whether this belt actually helps or not will depend on your condition and goals for it. I can’t address those, but if you want a belt that really provides support, this is the only type that will get tight enough to do anything. This brand/model is very well built, adjustable, comfortable, and easy to use.

MAJOR EDIT APRIL 2023: This is a fantastic brace with some serious key benefits. Worth every penny and then some. The preliminary adjustment is performed in securing the entire brace around your “trunk” tightly - using its wide Hook-N-Loop ends of the belt. But THEN the magic is performed by locating and pulling the 2 (one on each side) side straps -!fastened on each side of the brace belt. These straps are connected to the “web of support” on the back of the brace through “pulley” rings. They perform the compression that takes this brace to a whole new level. Pull them as tight as you feel comfortable (and safe) with. Then secure them around the front (they also are Hook -N-Loop). NOW you have a real back brace! After having it for months I realized I was missing the key feauture of this brace - the compression. I was only using the full width hook-n-loop to achieve the rigidity around my lombard area - but was ignorantly not using the two side straps that activate the compression function. This was totally stupid on my part - since that is what makes up the total genius of this brace! They perform the tightening compression function - by drawing tight the webbing on the back. Then - and only then - did I understand and experience the real help this brace is designed to provide. My paticular back issue is not important. But hearing it may aid you in your decision to better understand the potential for help in your own application. My spine degradation at 64 is chronic and painful, located just right of the L3-L4 discs. It is not there due to injury, but has been relentless for 2 years now. No non- surgical procedure has helped - although as recommended by my PCP & “Pain Mgt Doctors” - I have ENDURED them all, (therapy, MBB, RF Ablative, and 2 epidural shots). Scheduling with a surgeon is a 6 month wait - (which I am on the list for). But despite all the imageries both X-ray and series of MRI, I am still without medical help - other than my addictive pain meds and this brace. This brace enables me to perform life activities that were becoming too challanging due to the pain. I now do all my yardwork, walk - or ride my roadbike - daily, and the brace is key to maintaining these activities with the most duration and least pain It truly is “the king of kings” when it comes to REAL COMPRESSION back braces. I highly recommend this model for anyone in need of such - or contemplating which brace to buy.

After suffering from back problems for 38 years and a serious down turn over the past 9-10 months, this belt has finally brought me some relief. I've spent several thousand dollars over the years on just about every gadget and most products have brought little to no relief. My disc issues have progressed into severe stenosis since last winter and for the past 3-4 months I have walked with a very pronounced limp due to the pain shooting down thru my butt into my leg. But I literally felt a good majority of the pain go away the instant I tightened up the two straps. I was very doubtful since nothing else has worked, but with the decompression this belt provides, it did the trick. After wearing this all day I still get a good deal of relief even after taking the belt off. Hopefully this decompression will keep the stenosis from getting any worse, but this belt works far better for me than taking gabapentin, diclofenac and muscle relaxers. The only thing negative I can say about this is that it's far more comfortable to wear it over a t-shirt as the material is a little rough on the bare skin. But even with that, it still rate it a 10 out of 10. This may not work for everyone's problems but this belt has finally brought some relief for me and has definitely made my life more pleasant. I've seen similar belts that cost 2-3 times as much, but for $50, it's worth giving it a try.

This is my third brace in about 3 years, and I do have to say that this one is the best of the three as far as support goes. It also doesn't seem to have that suffocating effect just under my ribs the way the other two did at times. The only drawback to this one is that I don't like how much harder it is to loosen it when I'm sitting down and eating. Those two cinch straps are great, but it really takes some effort to un-velcro them both and loosen the grip a bit. Then, when I stand up to walk around (which is when I need the MOST support), I have to fumble for those cinch straps each time and get them adjusted just right. However, I do understand that without those cinch straps there wouldn't be the proper amount of support to both areas of my spine where I need it (thoracic and lumbar). So, I will learn to deal with the inconvenience because this brace appears to be the best one out there for the money. The quality of the materials is also a key factor. It's obvious these things weren't just thrown together with the cheapest materials they could find so they could make a quick buck. It seems to be very durable, and I'm hoping it will last a long time (knock on wood)...

I used the back support for my lower back. It is a nice brace but it is not exactly try to size. I think I should have bought the medium size/ The metal staves on side rub hip area.

This back brace is the one you have been looking for all this time. The relief from an aching back is just great and almost instantaneous. What it is NOT... It is not like the flimsy one you bought at the drug store. I bought a Large. It looks a lot like the support belt weight lifters use. It is at least 6" wide in the front and a least 8" in the back. The material is good quality and breathable. There are numerous stays and a pulley like system to get it the amount of tight you want by pulling on the straps. The velcro will stick pretty much anywhere. It is NOT going to roll over or come loose. It is NOT probably going to give you a rash. The fabric is breathable. No idea how you could break it - its sturdy without being too heavy or hot. It is NOT difficult to line up with your spine because it has two sides joined by overlapping soft straps. It IS really a back brace that aligns your back, gives great support, and calmed my sciatic nerve to where it stopped aching immediately. Well worth the $$. However, it shipped with UPS who delivered it to USPS who does NOT make it available for pick up until the next day, regardless of when it arrives. I will admit we didn't ask at the desk for it though.

I have DDD in my lower back and have worn back braces for pain relief and support for quite a few years. It was time to replace my old back brace so I was reviewing all the ones available on Amazon. I was not sure how well this one would work, but wanted to give it a try since it is so different than the standard back brace. I am so glad that I ordered this brace. Not only is it comfortable but the support it gives is the best of any brace I've ever had. The way the corset-type back is able to be tightened provides fantastic support. If you are wondering whether to give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed. I've only had this about 5 days now, but I am very happy with this purchase!

It has improved my pain level, and I would definitely recommend this to anyone who suffers from lower lumbar problems. It also hides my "covid" tummy" Good seller, and good product.

I have arthritis in my spine. Other back braces worked up to a point. Since this one is adjustable with two straps, I can adjust the pressure on my lower spine more effectively. I use it every time I go for a walk, doing yard work.

Since back surgery in 1975, I have used a prescription back brace whenever lifting, and sometimes when playing golf. Due to wear and changes in size over the years, I have had 3 braces. On a recent trip to Europe, my brace was misplaced, and on return home I read about and decided to try the King of Kings .... rather than a more expensive prescription replacement. Initially there was a mis-shipment (received a med. rather than the large that was ordered), but this was replaced immediately (no need for a return). The brace is as good as promised, easy to use and adjust, fits snugly without causing discomfort and does not restrict movement (when driving, loading the car, or golfing).

I purchased this belt because of a Doctor's diagnosis of lumbar spinal stenosis. I have had it a short while, and it does appear to help to protect my lower back when completing necessary tasks.
