I got this for my 4-year-old’s birthday, and she absolutely loves it! The playroom is adorable, well-made, and fits perfectly with her Calico Critters collection. She spends a lot of time setting up and playing with it, and it sparks so much imaginative play. Great quality, worth the price and a perfect gift for any little Calico Critters fan!

First off, THE FAMILY IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE HOUSE. Only the red bunny is. The family is MINE. Okay, on to the house. It’s beautiful and sturdy. I just didn’t like how they used 3 boxes to package it. Anyway, everything works and nothing came broken. There are 4 spots to put the balcony, but the ladder only has one from what I saw. My only qualm is that the top floor wiggles a bit. The top floor’s roof has a spot to put a Calico Critter house light, if you use those. For the furniture, I enjoyed all of it. The kitchen cabinets open and the faucet turns on. If you put the lasagna pie thing in the oven, it flips it when you open it again, as if it was baked. The fork is easy to use, and the accessories are small (potential choking hazard) but well made. Overall, I’m enjoying the house. As a young adult who wanted to collect these and de-stress, I’m happy. Though, I’d suggest buying separate furniture if you want a more decorated house.

My 2 1/2 year old granddaughter loves the Treehouse. She spends a lot of time creating fun for the adorable critters. Her imagination is active with this set. Of course caution has to be used with small parts and small children, but there is plenty of fun without tiny parts.

Our 3 year old really enjoys Calico Critters and after looking over the various choices for playsets, we decided to choose this one for the roominess of the compartments (they can hold some furniture and characters) and the variety of activities in one piece. It also is a cute complement to the wooden doll house that our daughter already has - this sits next to it on her dollhouse table. What we love: - our daughter instantly fell in love with it and has played with it regularly since receiving it a few months ago. Characters besides her calico critters are regular guests too. - The attention to detail is very charming. - The inner spaces are roomy enough to fit some pieces of furniture and some characters - The activities work (some with some adjustments - see next section) What we didn't like: - some of the parts need a bit of help to really be functional. E.g. the swing: the strings that suspend it on its branch pop out of the notches quite easily. I added a dab of clear glue at each notch opening and the swing doesn't come unhooked anymore. - some of the pieces don't fit well and/or come apart easily. E.g. the post that suspends the basket pulley - it comes out of its hole with a bit of jiggling. Securing it with strong glue fixed it; same for the tree house on top which just sits on notches - I glued that down too. On the other hand, the large side branch will just not fit securely or flush to the toy no matter how much I try. It stays put when my daughter plays with it, but falls off if a rougher friend handles it. All in all we do like this piece and find it to be fun and cute enough that I would buy it again despite the extras we've had to do to make it more functional. It was definitely an incentive that I got it on a very good holiday BOGO Calico Critters sale on Amazon.

My niece was trying to find this set everywhere, she was so surprised when it came in the mail for her. It is exactly what she wanted, it took a little longer than I hoped to arrive, but it was worth the wait.
