Great To Rinse off after a visit to the beach!
The product arrived on time in a large box and there wasn't a lot to put together. I got my daughter's boyfriend to do it. He said the base was a bit of a challenge because it didn't match up perfectly. But he managed to put it together and it works great and I haven't noticed any leaks. We have it in our backyard and use it to take a shower when we walk back from a swim in the ocean...nice to rinse off the salt water. I purchased a teak base to stand on so that shower water can flow through and water the grass at the same time, saving the need to shower inside and fill the septic tank. For anyone that wants enough hot water for many family members to rinse off or shower I suggest attaching a long hose to it and leaving the hose out in the sunshine as well. Doing this allows about 4 different people to shower, including washing their hair and body before running out of hot water...assuming you only have the water on when rinsing. Which reminds me, the knob is very sleek and sturdy but when your hands are soapy it's difficult to get a good grip to turn the knob. It was a pretty easy fix...just put some grippy tape around the knob. There's no problem when your hands are wet, it's just when they're a bit soapy. The water pressure is fantastic and there must be some kind of internal regulator because one time I accidentally spun it further to the left when I was trying to turn it off, and the water got warmer. That was a nice surprise and not what I expected from a solar shower. We've tried many showers over the years and decided this time to spend more and try to get a quality one as all the other ones broke down within a year of their purchase. Hoping to do much better with this one. So far, so good! I can imagine that the water might get very hot in super hot climates, but in the Pacific Northwest it is ideal as a warm shower after swimming in the cool ocean is lovely!

SOLAR SHOWER IS HOT!
After a lot of research on solar showers, I purchased the AquaLivin' 4376, and I'm glad I did! It was very easy to put together, with only a pair of pliers (or socket wrench) needed to tighten the shower column to the rigid plastic base. It is really cleverly designed to fit into a relatively small package, without too many parts, but is solid when assembled. Best of all, it provides an affordable way to rinse off sweat and dirt before swimming or simply to cool off after a day spent in the sun. This sturdy, portable shower would be ideal for stables and sporting events as well. The column comes in 2 sections, one of which seats inside the other and is held firmly in place by a large "nut" (for lack of a better term) made of the same resin-like material. The base (should you decide to use it) comes in 4 sections which lock together and are held by rubber grips, which in addition to four more rubber grips, keep the base from sliding around. When you bolt the flanged bottom of the shower column on the base, it further solidifies the base as a unit. If you'd prefer to secure it to your own base, anchor bolts are provided in the package. The water temperature can be adjusted with the single handle which they recommend you always start in the middle (warm) or on cold, as the water can get really hot in full sun. A basic, but adequate shower head comes with it, but I plan to substitute one with a hand held sprayer to make it more versatile, like for rinsing off a young child or a pet. (There is a similar model which comes with a "foot rinsing spigot" but it is not currently available.) In any case, making more connections to the basic pipes adds to the possibilities of leaks in the future; I figure simple is best in that regard. The solar shower does heat up even on cloudy days, but I hooked it to a 100 ft. black contractor's hose, to increase the hot water supply. I also added a hose-end shut off, just in case there were any leaks: once the shower column is full, you can turn off the hose, keeping the water in the shower until you want to use it again. If the water in the shower is not under pressure it is less likely to put a strain on the system. I haven't had any leaks, but I wanted to be prepared. Whether for use at poolside, to rinse off after hard work in the yard, or maybe even cut back a bit on energy bills, this shower offers an attractive alternative.

I never thought I would enjoy the pool more than I already do...
...but the GAME Outdoor Solar Shower has been getting it's fair share of usage this season and makes being in the pool even more relaxing. I have two young kids and even with a salt water system on my pool their skin is easily irritated. So, in order to have a good evening after a fun day of swimming we'd have to go in for a full series of "real" showers to get them cleaned up and itch free. Not anymore. Now, I take out washcloths, shampoo, etc. and in five minutes they're ready for pajamas and a movie. The system was pretty easy to set up. I believe it took me about 15 mins. The materials are fairly nice. The shower head is a bit cheap as are few of the plastic bits, but nothing too terrible for something that works so well and is so reasonably priced. It also will wobble on it's plastic base, but only a tiny bit. Still seems sturdy enough. I placed mine near the edge of my stone patio so that it has a good, clean surface to shower on as well as a place for the water to run off and allows the unit to get a lot of sun. If you don't get a lot of sun you will be disappointed in how quick the hot water will run out. When three of us are showering we take "navy showers" (two minutes or less) and I still end up taking my shower in hose temperature water, but it's still nice (and this is in 100degree AZ weather). NOTE: The first bit of water is very hot for a few seconds, so be careful of that. We'll have to see, long term, what the soap and shampoo does to the surrounding area, but so far, so good.

Missing Shower Head, 4 center nut covers, and 4 side foot locks
Very surprised to have missing the showerhead, 4 center nut covers and 4 side footlocks for a product almost $200! And for a shower, without the head, is, well, defective. I emailed GAME and they responded in 4 days saying to contact Amazon as they assessed that the product was either used or returned, missing so many parts. They wrote they do not have the items missing as replacement parts. I called Amazon and they offered to resend another, but since I don't want the hassle of repacking and returning and causing more plastic waste, I'm going to just get another shower head. The arm is universal and can accommodate any shower head. The other objects can be jerry rigged: I'm putting 2 50-lb bags of sand on the base (absent the foot locks for the 4 base arts) to hold it in place. The nuts are facing the bottom so not seen or stepped on. Anyways, I wanted to share this experience to advise: 1. Please inventory your newly arrived product. There is an enclosed listing. 2. Don't expect missing parts will be provided by GAME 3. Amazon will not replace parts. Do you want to exchange the whole thing? You may. I did not ask Amazon for any discounts/promotions, though they were offered and I didn't take them. I just asked they note the missing materials in their product complaints to help Amazon quality control people make a more complete evaluation of GAME and Amazon's own quality assurance procedures for improvements. With a shower head from Grohe, the shower works. The product doesn't really provide hot and cold control. The water initially comes out hot even if the lever is turned to cold; and then the hose's water temperature takes over. Is this okay? Is it "working"? I'm even okay with this because I'm outdoors and the cold water during summer is fine. I installed this in the open , poolside, not by the side of the house, so not leaning or sheltered by anything. It leans. The 100-lb bags of sand make me feel that any mild winds will be okay. However, recall I don't have side foot locks so I can't speak if they would have helped with stability/being plumb. Easy to put together. Able to be moved by a single person (feels like 25-30 lbs), just awkward because of height. Best wishes, all.

Worth the price
I have been searching and searching for the right pool shower so I won't have any excuse not to do daily workout swims in our pool. I have looked at the 1k showers and the $50 showers. After reading the reviews, I decided on this model because of how many people liked the model and the price. Putting it together was very easy. My son helped me with putting the tape around the threads of the shower head. I was worried about leakage, so instead of the 20-30 wraps they recommended on the one end, we did 35 wraps. The lever does not leak at all, but there is about 1 drop every 4 hours coming from the shower head - an issue I can certainly live with. We are in Houston, so it was no problem finding the sun - on its first try, it warmed it up so well that we had to have some cold added. The best part about it is the strength of the water coming out. I have short, thick hair and I needed something with a strong stream to get the shampoo out. It does a wonderful job of doing such that. I appreciate that this company made a decently-priced item and is the perfect fit for us

Hot Water at the Pool
I purchased one of these a few years back and are very happy with it. This purchase is for a friend who loved the slick looking product. Mine is going on 3 years and still looking and functioning as it did on day one. You may have to repaint the metal base as it does get rusty within a year or two but beyond that a good cleaning every few months is all you need to do. I would say it provides about 3 gallons of warm water, on very sunny days the water temp may even go higher approaching the "hot" level. The location to install this is key as the more sun it gets the more warm or hot water you will get. I live in Florida were it gets very hot and we get a lot of free solar heat! The tower comes in two pieces that screw together making it easy to store. I leave mine out all year long and only take down when the ugly HURRICANE word is heard. Amazon has a great price on this item.

Love the outdoor solar shower but disappointed in its performance.
Really like this shower. Good looking and study when full of water so it does not tip over or blow over with the wind. Only gave three stars because I have only had the shower a couple of months and it seems the shower does not completely shut of at the valve. I think this because it continues to drip long after I have shut off. It drips so much so it is a 2 second drip which adds up to gallons of water in a 24 hours period. This defeats the purpose of having a shut off valve. I now have to go to the faucet on the house to turn it off so as not to waste water. I live in PHX metro and water in not cheap in AZ. Besides, who wants to waste water regardless where you live. See the photos where you can see the shower is still dripping after being turned off for 30 mins. And it is not because a water pressure...just had it tested and only at 68 psi. For a $160 I would expect better quality and performance. It's a bummer and because of the leaks I will not recommend to others.

Great product - still working after 5 years
The water temp ranges from cold to hot and it does have a solar panel (located above the shower head). I bring the shower inside once our swimming season is over. I don’t leave the shower under water pressure when not in use. I turn the water on for the shower in the morning and it’s usually ready in approximately 1 hour depending on sun exposure. I would definitely recommend this product to family and friends. Update: I’ve had this shower since 2015 and I’m very happy I purchased it. I’ve read other reviews and suggest the following. 1. Don’t leave shower outside during winter. I bring mine in once season is over and put it out as soon as temperatures are 50 and above. 2. Don’t leave shower under pressure if your not expecting to use it. I turn water on in the morning and close it in the evening. I’ve had this shower 9 years and never had a problem.

Better than expected! Stellar product!
I bought this over a year ago, but just assembled it today. I did it by myself in less than half an hour. It was super easy, and I only had French instructions (I think it came with English as well but I probably lost them or something). It works perfectly! No leaks, no loud noises, it looks sweet and the showerhead mine came with was way more trick than the one in the pic. It's a wicked rainshower jobbie. So so soooo happy with this purchase! I'm so amped, I need a shower . . . . .

Very disappointed!
Very disappointed with this product. Not even a year, the shower is leaking from the base. I thought the issue was the hose. I had it changed and the problemis still there. Because of leak, there is no warm water and there is always a patch of water on my pave.

Great looking but short shower unless you do some tinkering
Love outdoor showers and this one is great-excellent shower head, good pressure and looks good. However, the solar powered part only gives you enough hot water for one short shower. As we live in northern Ontario I want to keep showering outside until it drops below freezing- hopefully into October. So, I had a hot and cold water taps put in outside. I needed a new regular faucet anyways. Cost about 300$. Then I picked up a hot water outdoor hose for about 60$. Hardest part was finding a valve to fit all couplings. Eventually found simple plastic one at CT on a tree irrigation hose for 12$. Shower works great- hot water within a minute and temperature control functions. Love it!
