Excellent Quality Sardines in Water!!!!!
These Season Sardines are far and away the best I have found in years! As a carnivore I eat only animal products and due to having severe degenerative arthritis I eat a LOT of sardines and salmon daily for the Omega 3's which help to reduce inflammation and joint pain. I only eat the ones in water and even though they are canned, the taste is very fresh. These are nice size, and they do include the bones and skin which I consider a bonus for the additional nutrients they carry in the bones and skin. They are perfect right out of the can and also lovely lightly fried in butter as well.

You too can enjoy sardines!
I like these sardines because they are packed in water and not seed oils. I add my own olive oil once opened. Also, and very key is that these little nutritional power houses have the bones still in. You don't even notice them. They have been integral to doing my sardine fasting protocol. Thankfully, the taste is much better than their fishy smell!

good quality
I prefer them in olive oil, but they got too expensive for my budget. No problem, I replace the water. The flavor and quality are good for the price.

Good texture and taste
Quality sardines. Not sprats which are a different species. Sometimes hard to find packed in water.

Not fit for human consumption.
Something must be going on at the Season factory recently because this is the 2nd bad batch (of 12 cans) I have received through Amazon within a couple of months of a product that I normally enjoy. I’m generally a fan of Season and have repeatedly consumed many of their products, including this same type of sardines in water, sardines boneless skinless in water, sardines in olive oil, sardines in extra virgin olive oil, as well as mackerel in water and olive oil—- all have been excellent to date with only 2 exceptions. Starving and ready for dinner this evening, I opened a can from the latest shipment to then discover it contained guts and scales. Disappointed, but still hungry, I tried another can—only to find the same thing... (!!) Most likely the other 10 cans are the same because that was the case with the first bad batch I received from Amazon. This is completely unacceptable in a product sold as food for humans. You can’t even pick around it because the whole thing has been marinating in nasty gut juice for who knows how long and every bite now tastes like trash. I probably won’t be ordering the sardines in water ever again after this. At least the cats will be happy.

Better Than in Olive Oil
These sardines are delicious. I like them better than the sardines in olive oil available from Costco--although they might not be as healthy. The sardines also mix well with salad dressing to make a sandwich/wrap or for snacking with crackers. The price is fair and matches Costco except when they have a sale.
